Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare both opened up their doors to the Games of Summer event several days ago. The event challenges players to test their accuracy, speed, and maneuverability in a series of trials. For every gold medal achieved, fans gained an additional reward with a Legendary Blueprint waiting for any fan who achieved all golds.
This event was open to both Modern Warfare and Warzone fans allowing players to participate for free. Each of the challenges holds different rewards and difficulties with players searching everywhere for tips and tricks to achieve Gold.
Dedicated Warzone fan and Reddit user MuckinAround145 posted an amazing guide to help fans achieve gold on the Games of Summer trials. His tips and tricks are simple, clean, and work for both PC and Console users.
This trial challenges players to navigate an obstacle course that is best completed without touching the ground. Players must leap over objects, dive through windows, and race against the ever clicking clock. Faster teams mean better scores for any ambitious fan.
Fans should note that the time does not actually start until players cross the first checkpoint. Fans can shave a few seconds off their run by jumping on the truck bed first and then climbing. Later in the challenge, players come across a set of blue crates. Rather then panicking and rushing each one, players are advised to stop for a moment and simply jump from place to place. As for the rest of the course, players should time their jumps for the last second so they can gain maximum distance. This will help overcome the lengthier jumps and make the medium jumps feel more solid.
The second trial is a standard gun course where players are judged based on their speed of completion and accuracy. Fans are advised to go in using the Cr-56 AMAX and Striker 45 in their load-outs. Sadly, this challenge does not have that many quick tips as it mainly relies on players to memorize target locations. Run the course a few times and try to predict where targets will be.
Practice is the best solution for overcoming this challenge. Do remember that switching weapons is faster than reloading. Provided a player takes down each target with one shot, they should not need to reload for the entirety of the challenge.
The Marksman Challenge is similar to Modern Warfare‘s Gun Course, except players do not need to move. Targets appear throughout the map and players must take them down from a ranged position. Mounting at the beginning is a great first step as it offers more stability to aiming with any of the sniper rifles. This challenge is all about finding the right patterns and clearing targets quickly. Any opportunity to take two targets down with one shot should be taken advantage of, and remember that bonus points are awarded for any time left at the end of every round.
This next challenge is a pistol gun range where players must take down targets quickly while maintaining a combo meter. Out of all of the Call of Duty summer trials, this is by far the easiest as it does not rely as heavily on time, but players are still advised to maintain high accuracy. Players should take their time, maximize combos, and rotate through each of the targets in a methodical manner.
This challenge is a combination of accuracy, speed, and navigation. Players will select a weapon and navigate through a shooting range trying to maintain a high accuracy standard while racing against a clock. Players are recommended to use the AK-47 and Renetti pistol. Some fans prefer to use two pistols while others use only the Renetti; variation is at the discretion of the player. The best advice for players is to learn target locations and find a maximized route through the shooting range. Practice and memorization are key to completing this challenge. Remember that hitting collaterals will increase accuracy and help deduct more time in the final tally at the end of the match.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
