Ubisoft is busy preparing for its second Ubisoft Forward event of the year which is said to contain big updates, new game reveals, and the confirmation that the string of 2020 gaming events will never end. Ubisoft has been hyping up its new game, Immortals Fenyx Rising to promote the event but it seems like some of the upcoming announcements have leaked early thanks to the Microsoft Store.
Immortals Fenyx Rising was originally titled Gods and Monsters when fans first saw the game at last year’s E3 event. The game caught the attention of many during last year’s showcase and drew comparisons to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild right away for its overall look and combat style. Since the game’s exciting reveal, it has been rather silent, but it appears as though fans can expect a big rollout of new information very soon.
Late last night a listing for Immortals: Fenyx Rising was added to the Microsoft Store and included a ton of new information about the game, including a potential release date of December 3. According to the description, players will play as Fenyx who is a demigod and is on a quest to save the Greek Gods in a big mythological adventure. Players will take on different beasts in Immortals: Fenyx Rising such as Cyclops and Medusa and explore seven unique regions inspired by different gods.
The listing, which has since been removed, went on to confirm that Immortals Fenyx Rising will take advantage of Xbox’s Smart Delivery system, so fans will only need to buy the game once and will be able to play it on either their Xbox One or Xbox Series X when available. Lastly, the leaked description mentions a pre-order bonus for the game that is a quest titled “A Tale of Fire and Lightning.”
Undoubtedly, this information was poised to be announced during the Ubisoft Forward event happening on September 10 but unfortunately, Ubisoft is just plagued by leaks. Just about every marquee game to be announced this year from the publisher was leaked ahead of its scheduled announcement. The leaks have been so bad that even a playable developer build of Immortals Fenyx Rising, under its previous title Gods and Monsters, leaked on the Google Stadia store.
Immortals Fenyx Rising is in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
