Samsung Reveals Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G Smartphone | Game Rant

In a recent event, Samsung announced the release of its new Galaxy Z Fold2 5G Smartphone. With the cooperation of companies like Google and Microsoft, Samsung has designed a phone aimed at those who seek cutting-edge productivity.

Samsung seems to have taken consumer criticisms seriously in the new design versus the Galaxy Z Fold, its direct predecessor. The aspect ratio has been widened so that when closed, the phone resembles two standard smart phones stacked on top of each other, with a 7.6 inch foldable main screen on the inside. This smartphone folds completely in half, similarly to the Galaxy Z Flip 5G released last month, only on this one, the new and improved hinge is lengthwise.

Samsung’s three-camera design features an ultra wide lens, a wide-angle lens, and a telephoto lens, all with 12 megapixel definition. The camera app has gotten some UI improvements, with controls reworked to take advantage of both screens at once. The camera comes with such features as auto-framing and controls which allow a user to take high-quality selfies using the cameras on the back of the device.

The UI has been designed so that users can use up to three apps at once and intuitively move them from one part of the screen to another. It may be possible for users to play Fortnite via the Samsung Galaxy store on this phone while also watching YouTube and checking messages, or perhaps a gamer wants to try competing in PUBG and Minecraft tournaments simultaneously. It is even possible to save an app layout as an app’s edge shortcut.

Some have expressed concern over certain design aspects. First of all, some believe that six cameras is excessive for a phone. The design of the screens and camera controls makes selfie cams redundant in most cases, and the hardware to operate those cameras takes up valuable real estate inside the phone itself. Additionally, the nearly $2000 price tag puts the smart phone in the same range as a decent gaming computer, an investment made by at least half of all gamers, who prefer PC.

Those who can afford the luxury Thom Browne edition will be able to carry around the Z Fold2 with matching Buds Live and a Watch 3, complete with extra watch straps and two phone cases. The phone’s matte Thom Browne grey body is accented by a multicolored grosgrain stripe, and the style is accented by leather phone cases. The UI features art sketched by Thom Browne himself. It will look really nice alongside Sony’s 24k gold PS5.
