While they continue to wait for any news on when The International might finally take place, Dota 2 players may have noticed that the game has received a bit of new content. That content takes the form of the final character they can earn through the tournament’s Battle Pass.
COVID-19 may have prevented the competition from taking place as usual, but The International 10 Battle Pass has been available in the meantime, providing players with new Arcanas and Personas for characters like Wraith King, Anti-Mage, Queen of Pain, and Pudge. With today’s update, this list is rounded off with a new Arcana for Windranger, known as Compass of the Rising Gale.
Like the previous additions to Dota 2’s Battle Pass, this new Arcana provides a new set of cosmetic options for Windranger, starting with a mystical-looking character model. This new look sports several custom animations, sound effects, voice lines, UI assets, and visual effects. Additionally, the Arcana comes with a second style, Reflections of the Gale, that players can unlock by inflicting 2.5 million damage with Focus Fire kills.
To unlock Windranger’s Arcana, players are going to have to level up their Battle Pass all the way to level 575. That might not be too daunting for those who’ve been busy grinding their way through the Pass for weeks, but it’ll be daunting for players who are starting around now, especially since the Pass is expiring in just two weeks. At this rate, given how pricey the Battle Pass’ tiers can be, newcomers may need some of The International’s record-breaking prize money to get their hands on the Arcana.
