Red Dead Redemption 2 has plenty of things to see and do even after the main story is completed. One of those lengthy activities is finding all of the legendary animals throughout Red Dead Redemption 2.
Many of the legendary animals in Red Dead Redemption 2 require players to deliver them to the nearest post office. One player posted an amazing picture encapsulating the struggles of their journey to deliver a legendary fish.
Players can unlock fishing in Red Dead Redemption 2 in Chapter 2 of the main story by accepting a quest from Abigail to take Jack fishing. Afterward, players can fish any time they want. Eventually, when players get the option to find and hunt legendary animals, a large subsection of those legendary hunts will be fish. After catching a legendary fish players need to deliver them to a post office, but sometimes that’s a lot more difficult than it should be.
One player on the official Red Dead Redemption 2 subreddit posted about their arduous journey to deliver the Legendary Muskie to a nearby post office. The title of the post reads, “Caught the legendary fish near Van Horn. Started taking it to the post office and got attacked by the whole village because I was wanted. The village is dead, but hey I delivered the fish.” The original poster uploaded an image alongside the post using Red Dead 2’s photo mode, and it is simultaneously hilarious and very grim.
Unfortunately, having a high enough wanted level, or sometimes even just any wanted level at all, will make nearby law enforcement or townsfolk hostile to players. Naturally combining catching and delivering a legendary fish in Red Dead Redemption 2 while being wanted is going to end in trouble. On the bright side, at least the player was able to deliver the legendary fish. Plus, the village will most likely repopulate itself eventually so it won’t be a ghost town forever.
While finding all of the legendary animals in Red Dead Redemption 2 is probably one of the most difficult tasks to complete in the game, it can be incredibly rewarding as well. The open world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of surprises and chaos around every corner. Not only that, but the world itself can be incredibly beautiful at times. Sitting back and hunting for legendary fish can absolutely make for quite the relaxing afternoon, provided that you aren’t wanted by local law enforcement.
