10 Characters We Want To See In Suicide Squad Kills The Justice League

Rocksteady finally announced the next entry in the Arkhamverse: The Suicide Squad Kill The Justice League. Their CGI trailer introduced four-player co-op and showed off Harley Quinn, Deadshot, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang. They are tasked with taking down an evil Superman and the rest of the Justice League. These may be the only playable characters right now but a lot can happen in the two years before release.

Hopefully, we can play as other iconic Suicide Squad members and DC characters. Most of the following people were in the Suicide Squad at some point but that’s not a requirement. These are, simply, people we want to see make an appearance.

10 Lobo

Lobo, or The Main Man, is a fierce intergalactic bounty hunter that resembles a member of the Hell’s Angel motorcycle gang. He sports a series of sharp objects and guns but is mostly known for his super-fast motorcycle. He is one of the most intimidating and violent characters in the DC universe. Lobo is driven by money, which means he’ll hunt heroes and villains alike. The Main Man could be paid to take down the Justice League or paid by the Justice League to destroy the pesky Suicide Squad. Either way, we want him in the game.

9 Enchantress

Forget about that dancing Enchantress from the Suicide Squad movie and think about her supernatural powers in gameplay. June Moon was possessed by a supernatural entity, giving her great power but subjugated her to a life of fear. She is afraid of her abilities taking control but found a home in Amanda Waller’s Suicide Squad. Her move set would drastically set her apart from other characters and her personal struggle would make for an emotional storyline.

8 The Blue Beetle

It may be hard to believe, but The Blue Beetle joined the Suicide Squad, or Task Force X, in a recent comic storyline. Three people that have taken the Blue Beetle mantle – Ted Cord, the technology and gadget focused version, joined the Suicide Squad. It would be more fascinating, gameplay-wise, to play as Jaime Reye who has the power of the scarab, an alien armor with a mind of its own. It would also be fun to see how a quote on quote hero interacts with the extreme personalities of the Suicide Squad.

7 Bronze Tiger

Bronze Tiger is one of the best martial artists in the DC Universe, which will fit well with the established combat system. The character is always struggling with his morality and is in battle with his anger influenced tendencies.

After being mentally damaged from his experience with the League of Assassins, Amanda Waller recruited him for the Suicide Squad. He has been a prominent member ever since. Hopefully, if he is in the game, Rocksteady will explore the battle of good and evil within him.

6 Killer Frost

Mister Freeze was a prominent villain throughout the Arkham series and he always brought fun gameplay moments. His boss fight in Arkham City was a mix of stealth and strategy as he constantly adapted to Batman’s attacks. Killer Frost would allow players to be on the other side of the battle. She also transitions from hero to villain fluently and has been a member of the Suicide Squad.

5 John Constantine

If the Suicide Squad runs into sorcery troubles they could call John Constantine for help. He has a selfish, nonchalant, and sarcastic exterior, which would fit in perfectly with the crew. It would be fun to hear his quibbles about taking down the Justice League and participate in his sorcery. Constantine’s numerous spells would make him a unique playable character but he would be a fun NPC as well.

4 Swamp Thing

Swamp Thing is a somber creature who can control plant life on the entire planet. People assume he is a villain because of his towering monster-like appearance but he is actually one of the good guys. He works hard to protect humanity and the Green. Swamp Thing can grow wings, extend his arms, shrink into the ground, and do almost everything imaginable with his plants. It would be funny to see Harley Quinn and King Shark interact with the gentle beast and he would be a great addition to the gameplay.

3 Katana

Katana may be the most skillful sword user in the DC universe. She wields the soul taker sword, which does exactly what it says. Her sword holds the soul of her husband serving as a constant reminder of her loss and pursuit of justice. Even though Katana is an honorable character she has been a prominent member of the Suicide Squad. Her noble personality would even out the shenanigans of everyone else in the squad.

2 Deathstroke

There was a Suicide Squad tease in Warner Bro’s Arkham Origins where Amanda Waller offered him a position on the squad. Rocksteady is making the Suicide Squad game, not Warner Bros, so they may not follow up on the tease.

That would be a sad choice, though, since fans were eagerly expecting Deathstroke in a Suicide Squad game since the tease back in 2013. Deathstroke would fill that Batman whole in our hearts with his similar set of gadgets and martial arts skills. Plus Deathstroke is one of the coolest characters in the DC universe.

1 Batman

One of the best things Rocksteady could do is hide Batman’s presence until the game is in the player’s hands. Out of everyone in the Justice League, Batman is the least likely to fall victim to Brainiac’s control – if that is indeed what is happening. The caped crusader knows how to defeat every Justice League member so he would be a viable asset to the Suicide Squad’s success. He doesn’t need to be playable or the main focus but, hopefully, he will show up in some capacity.
