Call of Duty players are facing another game-breaking bug, this time one that actually ends Warzone matches. In response to a bug where vehicles outside of the map cause the entire lobby to crash and end the game, Infinity Ward has announced an update that removes all vehicles from Warzone. This is only a temporary change while the developers work on fixing the bug, but many players are still very upset.
It isn’t a true week in Warzone without something going wrong. Some bugs and glitches are more minor or confined, like certain pillars making players invisible but only in select areas of the map. Other bugs can completely ruin someone’s match, like the return of the demon texture glitch. In some cases, these issues are fixed and the game continues until the next bug pops up.
In this case, it seems like one player can end the game for the entire lobby. Without going into a guide and informing more players on how to do this, essentially the bug involves driving a vehicle out of bounds and stopping the warning timer. After a few seconds, the lobby crashes and ends the game for every single player.
Infinity Ward removing vehicles is the first step, but hopefully this bug is removed permanently. Some issues, like the Warzone buy station bug, have persisted through the game for far too long, almost immune to patches. The demon gun glitch is a perfect example of players and developers thinking something has been fixed, just apparently not forever.
While many players have broken the game unintentionally, there is always the chance that some will exploit this lobby-crashing glitch just to ruin the day of the other players. With how many cheaters are in Call of Duty, it isn’t far-fetched at all to assume many would take advantage of this bug for as long as it is in the game.
With some rumors of huge changes to Warzone, hopefully these bugs will stay fixed and out of the game. Something as big as night mode being added to Warzone could mean a lot of changes to the game’s code, releasing a slew of new bugs and reviving old ones. It would be terrible to get into a new match at night, only to have a player end the game for the entire lobby once more.
Until this bug is fixed, players can enjoy running across the map on foot. With the Combat Pack free for PS Plus Subscribers, it is the perfect chance to show off the new skins and accessories that PlayStation players have access to. Hopefully this glitch is fixed soon as players can return to their normal battle royale matches.
Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
