Annapurna Interactive, for being just four years old, has become one of the most consistent indie game publishes in the business. From What Remains of Edith Finch in 2017 to Outer Wilds in 2019, Annapurna is producing indie hits on the regular. Today, Annapurna announced a new product that celebrates that. It’s releasing a physical box for PS4 that bundles together 8 of Annapurna Interactive’s most popular and successful games.
Note that this is a limited collector’s edition and not just a cool release, as awesome as that would be. Annapurna is partnering with iam8bit to put together this unique physical package. It’s dubbed the Annapurna Interactive Deluxe Limited Edition, there are only 2,000 being made, and it’s going to retail for $199.99. It’s definitely a collector’s package, but for Annapurna fans, it’ll be worth every penny.
As for what’s included in the package, 8 Annapurna games on their own PS4 discs are featured. The games are Donut County, Gorogoa, Kentucky Route Zero TV Edition, Outer Wilds, Sayonara Wild Hearts, Telling Lies, Wattam, and What Remains of Edith Finch. Note that this is the first physical release for both Gorogoa and Telling Lies on PS4. Also included is an exclusive forward from Annapurna Interactive founder Nathan Ray, exclusive statements from each game’s “creative visionaries,” and of course the custom-designed folio case itself.
Interested parties can pre-order their copy of the Annapurna Interactive Deluxe Limited Edition now on the official iam8bit website. As noted, there are limited copies of the collection available, so those interested shouldn’t wait too long or else it’ll sell out. The tentative shipping window for the package is late 2020, so buyers won’t even have to wait very long to play. Hopefully, it leads to a second deluxe with even more Annapurna games like Florence, Ashen, and more.
