Minecraft Dungeons‘ Creeping Winter DLC adds a ton of new content for players to enjoy. Aside from the three new levels, there is also new daily missions, merchants to rescue in order to grow the player’s home base, and more. Like the last DLC, there is also a secret level for players to unlock, though this one is a bit more challenging to get.
Minecraft Dungeons Jungle Awakens also added a secret level, but it was a bit easier to obtain. In order to get this level, entitled the Lost Settlement, players will need to be sure they have access to Creeping Winter and enter the first level.
Once in the Frozen Fjord, players will need to follow a specific path and solve a few puzzles in order to unlock the secret level. Taking the time to do so is well worth the effort, though, as the secret level provides different loot than the other levels available to players in the Creeping Winter DLC.
Like other secret levels in Minecraft Dungeons, players may get unlucky as there’s a chance it won’t spawn every time. Because of this, fans may need to run the Frozen Fjord several times in order to unlock it, but there are some methods that will make this process faster. It should be noted that the secret level can spawn even if the map shows no secrets in the area. The first step to finding the secret level will have the player simply advancing through the level as normal. Players can choose to fight everything and loot chests or simply skip past enemies, but that is up to them. Eventually, the player will reach an icy cave, towards the end of which the path will split in two directions. Players should head away from the quest marker here.
If the secret level did spawn, players will find a doorway at the other end of the cave. Going through here will bring the player to an outdoor area with a large pool of water in the center. Head down the path until finding a pump and interact with it. Doing this will drain the water, allowing the player to reach new areas. After clearing some of Creeping Winter’s new enemies, another gate will open leading to the next area.
Once in this area, players will need to step on the large stone platform in the area and then press the button that appears at the bottom of it. This will lower the water level in this area, opening up an entrance to the lower deck of a boat. The secret level is located in here, and the player can collect it to gain access to the new Creeping Winter secret level, Lost Settlement.
