Dynasty Warriors Series Music Comes to Spotify | Game Rant

Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series has become famous for its hack-and-slash gameplay that lets any individual take on thousands of soldiers at once in bombastic action set pieces, a formula that has crossed over with other properties like One Piece, The Legend of Zelda, and Gundam. With many hyped for the recently-announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, it seems as perfect a time as ever for the developer to release its series’ soundtracks to the public.

Over 700 pieces of Dynasty Warriors music from seemingly every main game in the franchise have been made available on Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, according to a press release from Koei Tecmo. The albums extend from 2000’s Dynasty Warriors 2 to 2018’s Dynasty Warriors 9 — which is technically Shin Sangokumusou 8 in Japan.

Much of the 20-year-old series’ OST is characterized by rock anthems meant to fit the large-scale battles that take place throughout each game, which is sure to please a particular audience. The Dynasty Warriors press release also reminds fans that the series will have a presence at Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online, which runs between September 24 and 27.

While Dynasty Warriors has been a long-standing franchise for Koei Tecmo, it seemed to gain a new level of worldwide appeal thanks to crossover titles with Nintendo properties. Hyrule Warriors will soon have a successor that acts as a prequel to Breath of the Wild, and Koei Tecmo staff had a hand in creating Fire Emblem: Three Houses while working on Fire Emblem Warriors.
