Fortnite is one of the most popular battle royale games and this is primarily because of its unique mechanics that allow players to build and destroy environments. To keep the game engaging, Fortnite receives many updates that not only fix issues but also add content for players to experience. The challenges that have been set this week may be slightly difficult for players, but with some patience and determination, they should be able to complete the Fire Trap based challenge.
Alongside several Marvel-based challenges in Fortnite, players are tasked with the Fire Trap challenge which requires them to build three of the items. However, to start placing these items players will first need to find the trap. This will be the most difficult part of the challenge and may take some time for players regardless of their skill. The good news is that the traps can be found anywhere on the map.
Fire Traps were added at the beginning of Season 4 and are available in chests or through ground loot. However, the item is uncommon loot so players will have to spend some time searching their prefered area of the map to find it. Once players do find the item, the trap should automatically be available in one of the building gear slots. If the trap doesn’t appear players will need to clear a slot to make room for it. After this Fortnite players simply need to place the item, and once this process has been done three times the challenge will be completed.
Like most Fortnite challenges this task will have a reward. Completing this challenge will earn players 25,000 XP and they may also successfully eliminate some opponents if they run into the trap. The Fire Trap shoots fireballs at opponents when they are in close proximity and will deal 50 points of damage with each successful hit. With this in mind, some players may begin utilizing the trap more frequently after seeing what it can do while completing this challenge.
The challenges in Fortnite appear to be pleasing players, and it will be interesting to see how they develop alongside the Marvel event which is ongoing. However, for now, most players will be attempting to find the Fire Trap while trying to dodge an increasing amount of fireballs that will appear in the map on the back of this challenge.
Fortnite is available now on Android mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
