Grand Theft Auto Online offers a variety of challenges and missions that have kept players engaged long after finishing the campaign of its offline counterpart Grand Theft Auto 5. While GTA Online does not have the critical acclaim of Grand Theft Auto 5, many players enjoy the themed events and items that appear every so often, providing an incentive to return to the game. Rockstar Games is now furthering the rewards given in the title and players who do certain missions will now receive double the usual reward.
GTA Online has its own economy that encourages players to spend and earn through missions. Due to this capital focus, the title does lead to some cheaters trying to find glitches that allow them to accumulate cash. While GTA Online tries to clamp down on cheaters, in a somewhat ironic protection of the economy from heists, it is now offering more reasons to carry out missions.
Players will receive double GTA$ and RP by participating in the Business Battles, Land Grab and Gunrunning sell missions. All of these mission types offer plenty of action with Land Grab focusing on zonal defense and expansion, while Business Battles will take players through several warehouses as well as an airfield. It seems that GTA Online has plenty of ideas on how to keep the title fresh, although some may want a greater variety that primarily shooting-based activities. Fortunately, the nature of the open-world online game does allow players to take part in a range of activities although few have the financial incentive of these missions.
Financial incentives are frequently deployed in GTA Online and the game is also offering players $1 million a month until the title releases on the next generation of consoles. These kinds of promotions have led to inflation in the game and while these offers are largely positive it can lead to certain items being introduced at a higher price point and therefore it is out of the reach of newcomers. Nonetheless, dedicated players will be sure to take advantage of these larger rewards as it will lead to more financial opportunities when new items do arrive in the game.
GTA Online is implementing new items and features which will be enough to keep most fans entertained. Of course, new items do require money and with that in mind, many will be pleased that these kinds of rewards are being offered.
Grand Theft Auto Online is available on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021.
