My Hero One’s Justice 2: 5 Characters We Want In The Next DLC (& 5 We Don’t)

My Hero One’s Justice 2 made huge improvements from its prequel, One’s Justice, not only in terms of gameplay mechanics and its multiplayer experience, but also when it came to its character roster. Players not only got to play as every character that was included with One’s Justice, but they also got heroes like Endeavor and Inasa Yoarashi for free when they were DLC characters in the previous game. A recent DLC even added Class 1-H’s very own Mei Hatsume to its roster. While Mei Hatsume has a brilliant mind that enabled her to get far during the UA Sports Festival in the anime, she’s not exactly a fighter, so many gamers were shocked to see her step into the ring, but it didn’t take long to see just how fun she is to play with given her unique combos and fighting style, which uses her unpredictable array of gadgets.

With more DLC characters on the horizon, players can only speculate which ones will hopefully join the fight, and will continue praying which ones never join the roster. Since the games stay in track with the action of the anime, all of these characters are ones that fans have had the opportunity to see in full-color animation onscreen.

10 We Want: Best Jeanist

One’s Justice 2 went a great deal as to add more Pro Heroes to its roster, like Gang Orca, Fat Gum, and Nighteye, which was a nice change of pace from the first game, in which most of the characters were students from Class 1-A. Best Jeanist definitely didn’t get his chance to shine in the anime after All For One incapacitated him during the Kamino Incident. Given that his Quirk enables him to control cloth fibers, there’s a huge potential to make him a more long-range specialist, and his Plus Ultra would definitely be a flashy one, given his passion for style and proficiency with such a technical Quirk.

He could even utilize many quick grabs and counters, making him a difficult opponent for those players who love to guard. Since he wasn’t seen as much in the anime, adding him as DLC would be the perfect way to show why he deserved that Number 4 spot for so long.

9 We Don’t Want: Rikido Sato

Rikido Sato is one of Class 1-A’s students that doesn’t really get too much attention, nor is he particularly exceptional. His Quirk, Sugar Rush, essentially grants him more strength with the more sugar he consumes, but this leads to him having a crash that decreases his cognitive ability.

While the My Hero Academia movie Heroes Rising showed that he can put up a good fight, there are other characters in One’s Justice 2, like Deku, All Might, Nomu, and Kendo Rappa, who are also strength-oriented characters with straightforward playstyles and combos. Adding another one to the mix won’t really be too revolutionary. Plus, Kaminari already experiences a dumbing down when his Quirk is overused in the game, so adding this mechanic to Sato as well would just feel like more of the same.

8 We Want: Kamui Woods

Despite being a relatively new Pro Hero, Kamui Woods was trusted enough to accompany veteran Pros like All Might and Gran Torino during the mission to rescue Bakugo.

His agility and flexibility would make him a fun character to maneuver around the battlefield with, and his Lacquered Chain Prison would make an impressive Plus Ultra given how he can use his wooden limbs to restrain opponents and squeeze the life from them.

7 We Don’t Want: Tetsutetsu

Tetsutetsu isn’t a bad character. Many fans gained respect for him in the anime after he played a pivotal role in taking down the gas-spewing villain Mustard during the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion. Unfortunately, his Quirk is too similar to Kirishima’s.

He might have different combos, but he would most likely possess the same buffer that Kirishima can use to prevent himself from flinching from attacks. Unlike other DLC characters like Hawks or Mei, Tetsutetsu wouldn’t really add anything fresh and different to entice players to pick the game back up.

6 We Want: High-End

It would almost be a disserve to include the Nomu that All Might fought in One’s Justice 2 without also including High-End, the Nomu that came close to defeating Endeavor during the final episode of My Hero Academia‘s Season 4.

His shoulder jets could give him a quick way to travel across the battlefield inaccessible to anyone else, not to mention he could also have a Plus Ultra that triggers his regeneration upon completion, making him just as difficult to defeat in the game as he was in the show.

5 We Don’t Want: Neito Monoma

Neito Monoma has a pretty interesting Quirk; he can copy the Quirks of others with a single touch, store many in his body at one time, and employ them in whatever way he sees fit. Unfortunately, his Quirk forces him to do battle just a little too unconventional for a fighting game, since he has to resort to underhanded tactics to get the jump on his opponents.

Toga can already turn into characters and utilize some of their combos against them, so having Monoma copy the abilities of whoever he’s fighting wouldn’t really be anything new.

4 We Want: Nine

So farOne’s Justice 2 has steered clear of anything from the My Hero Academia movies Two Heroes and Heroes Rising, but Nine could very well be a worthwhile addition to the game’s roster while opening the doors for more characters from the movies to be included in the game.

He would definitely play similar to All For One, except he’d be a lot more fluid in terms of movement, and his unique Quirks, like Bullet Laser, Hydra, and Air Wall, would make him a character suited for long-range gameplay, as well as close combat. Many fans would kill to see his Plus Ultras, since in the movie, he was so powerful that it took two 100% One For Alls to beat him.

3 We Don’t Want: Rock Lock

Rock Lock played a pivotal role in the Shie Hassaikai Raid, but his Quirk isn’t really the best for a fighting game. Named Lock Down, it enables him to freeze objects in a particular position in space.

The major weakness of his Quirk is that unlike something like Uraraka’s Zero Gravity, he can only use it on objects and not people, meaning that his Quirk would be meaningless when going up against others in a straightforward battle with few items around for him to use to his advantage.

2 We Want: Bakugo, One For All: Full Cowl 100%

Perhaps one character that every fan couldn’t wait to play as in One’s Justice 2 has to be Deku’s One For All: Full Cowl 100% form, especially after seeing just how powerful it was in the anime. Fortunately, this form isn’t exclusive to just Deku anymore. In Heroes Rising, he temporarily transferred One For All to Bakugo as well, enabling everyone’s favorite hothead to utilize One For All at 100% as well. This not only gave Bakugo the same level of overwhelming speed and strength as Deku, but it increased the strength of his detonations tenfold.

As if Bakugo wasn’t already fun to play as, adding him at the strongest he’s ever been would be a huge incentive that would not only entice many players to pick up the game and purchase the DLC just to play as him for a bit, but many My Hero Academia fans would purchase the game alone with this addition. The inevitable Team Plus Ultra using Bakugo and Deku at 100% would most likely be the most epic move in the entire game.

1 We Don’t Want: Toru Hagakure

Toru Hagakure’s Quirk, Invisibility, just makes her body invisible, which is more useful for stealth than fighting. Hagakure herself doesn’t have any notable physical prowess, although she is able to refract light.

Unfortunately, this skill can only blind others for a brief period of time, or redirect Aoyama’s Navel Laser, which could potentially make her a great Support, but in One’s Justice, every Support must make a worthy standalone character to be incorporated into the game.
