While Apple has multiple subscriptions that its customers may use, fans may have a difficult time keeping track of them all. However, now the technology giant is giving Apple subscribers a chance to consolidate all its services under one name.
Recently, the technology company has come under fire from Epic Games and Microsoft due to its strict rules for what gaming apps are allowed in the iOS App Store. Despite this controversy, Apple has revealed some new gadgets it has in store for the future and this new system for many of its services.
Along with the new iPad Air tablet and Series 6 Smart Watch, Apple recently revealed an overarching subscription system for many of its services. The electronics company offers subscriptions for iCloud, Apple News+, Music, Arcade, and TV alongside the newly announced Apple Fitness+.
According to the company, this new system is called Apple One, and it will be available to customers starting in the Fall of this year with three different plans. The Individual plan is priced at $14.95 per month and includes 50 GB of iCloud storage, Apple Music, Apple TV+, and Apple Arcade.
The Family plan costs $19.95 per month, and while it contains the same subscription services as the previous option, this plan gives customers 200 GB of iCloud Storage instead. The Premier plan is the largest package, and includes the same features as the previous plans along with Apple News+ and Apple Fitness+, as well as 2TB of iCloud storage. This package costs $29.95 per month.
While the new Apple Fitness+ service will be introduced at the same time as this new subscription service, it can still be purchased separately as well. At $9.99 per month or $79.99 a year, customers will have access to 10 different types of workouts: yoga, cycling, dance, treadmill walk, treadmill run, strength, core, HIT, rowing, and mindful cooldowns.
This application will be powered by the Apple Watch, which tracks the user’s personal metrics while they work out. People who currently own one of these devices will receive a one month free, while new owners will get three months free. With a subscription to the service, it can be shared among up to five family members as well.
With this new subscription system coming soon, as well as the new generation of iPad, there is much in store for fans of the company’s gadgets. While the Fortnite centric-lawsuit still continues, Apple is introducing some new features.
