Jason Momoa Tells Warner Bros. ‘This S*** has to Stop’

Jason Momoa made headlines earlier this month by posting a social media image in support of Ray Fisher during an investigation into working conditions on the set of Justice League. At the time, the original post was a clear sign of support for Fisher, but was also not entirely a condemnation of Warner Bros. which left some questions about Momoa’s exact stance on the issue. Recently however, another post of Momoa’s has made his feelings quite clear, and the Aquaman actor is clearly unhappy with the whole situation.

“This s— has to stop and needs to be looked at @ray8fisher and everyone else who experienced what [happened] under the watch of @wbpictures needs proper investigation,” wrote Momoa, who made his opinion clear on Instagram. Momoa also accused the studio of releasing a fake announcement that he would be playing Frosty the Snowman in an upcoming film by accused harassers Jon Berg and Geoff Johns. “I just think it’s f—ed up that people released a fake Frosty announcement without my permission to try to distract from Ray Fisher speaking up about the s—ty way we were treated on Justice League reshoots. Serious stuff went down. It needs to be investigated and people need to be held accountable.”

The original accusations, made by Cyborg actor Ray Fisher, allege that he and several other cast members experienced unfair treatment on the set of Justice League at the hands of Joss Whedon, Geoff Johns, and Jon Berg. While Warner Bros. initially agreed to an investigation of what occurred on set, the process has stalled recently, with Warner Bros. claiming that Fisher has refused to meet with their third party investigator. Fisher responded by saying he wished to talk to his own team before having a full discussion with the studio’s investigators.

While other actors and producers have mostly stayed out of the controversy, Momoa’s statement marks a serious show of support for Fisher, and makes him one of the biggest names backing up his claims of abusive treatment on set. As Ray Fisher has recently accused the studio of “avoiding key witnesses” during their investigation, it’s possible Momoa’s statement is intended to pressure Warner Bros. into making their process more thorough and transparent. Whether any other actors will publicly show support for Fisher or Warner Bros. throughout this process, however, remains to be seen.
