Before the age of transmog, many players found themselves in a mish-mash of armor designs that didn’t often look pleasing. Especially in The Burning Crusade, many pieces of armor came with random neon colors that just didn’t mesh well with other armors. Now, players have the ability to look like just about anything they want, using any armor and weapons they desire.

10 Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings

Along with the help of Brann Bronzebeard, players unlock the elusive secrets and extreme dangers of Ulduar, a titan city. One of those secrets is an ancient artifact known as Val’anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings. This stunning, one-handed mace gives healers the chance to proc Blessing of Ancient Kings which causes heals to also shield targets and absorb damage.

Classes with healing specializations that use maces must loot 30 Fragments of Val’anyr from raid bosses within Ulduar, located in Storm Peaks, Northrend. Defeating bosses on hard mode increases the chance of a drop. Assemble the fragments into Shattered Fragments of Val’anyr which triggers a quest called Ancient History. Follow the questline and throw Unbound Fragments of Val’anyr into the mouth of the final boss, Yogg-Saron, while he casts Deafening Roar. Defeat Yogg-Saron, loot the quest item, and turn in the quest.
