Boundary is doing something you don’t see many games do these days.
Boundary, the zero-G FPS from indie developer Surgical Scalpels, will be offering a benchmark tool beginning September 24. The free benchmark is designed to test the ray tracing capabilities of your PC.
The developer reckons the game’s real-time visual quality pushes the envelope when ray tracing is involved. It’s not exactly clear which elements of the scene are ray traced, but the developer mentioned reflections among the supported features.
Boundary has always looked impressive, and ray tracing support will make it look even more stunning. We’re hoping the game will make use of Nvidia’s DLSS, however, as ray tracing remains a very taxing setting.
Alongside today’s news, Surgical Scalpels also confirmed the four multiplayer game modes that will be available on day one. You can expect Facility Capture, Team Deathmatch, Skirmish, and Orbital Capture – though we still don’t have a solid release date.
