PlayStation’s PS5 event included a number of bombshell revelations, offering players a glimpse at major upcoming games, like Spider-Man Miles Morales, and a number of other massive pieces of news, including the PS5’s price. However, the company saved one of the other major announcements for the end of the show.
The PlayStation Plus Collection is a new feature coming to PS5 for PS Plus subscribers, offering users a wide variety of games to download included with the cost of the subscription. Sony claims that these are “generation-defining” games, and judging by the included list, that seems to be the case.
Titles like God of War, Uncharted 4, Detroit: Become Human, and many more make an appearance in the trailer for the service, which seems to be something similar to Xbox’s Game Pass service. It is worth noting, however, that many of Sony’s newer exclusives aren’t included in the list, like The Last of Us 2 and Ghost of Tsushima.
Still, this is a major perk for subscribers, offering those that skipped the PS4 a chance at playing through some of its greatest hits when the PS5 launches. It isn’t necessarily as good of an offer as Xbox’s option, but it’s included with the cost of the service already.
The PlayStation Plus Collection launches with the PS5 on November 12.
