To celebrate the pre-load for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War‘s Alpha being available on PlayStation 4, a brand new trailer has launched. This trailer gives an action-packed, cinematic view of the Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer content. From huge explosions to unique close-quarter combat, this trailer paints a picture of what kind players can expect from the Alpha.
While a majority of the game is sure to be slower in pace, fans are prepared to enter the arena and battle it out on a whole new battlefield. Looking closely, some new and interesting information can be gleaned from the trailer, along with a better idea of the tone that Black Ops Cold War is attempting to set.
The trailer starts by giving fans clips of the upcoming vehicle and water combat. The entire video is a montage of fast-paced action sequences that give brief tastes of the overall action, and players can likely expect to enter into aggressive confrontations. From back and forth gunfights in Miami’s streets to wild car chases and ocean combat, Black Ops Cold War looks promising based on these clips.
The major deciding factor of the Alpha test will be to determine if all the action can hold up to a live gamer population. While exploits and bugs are often quickly discovered in Call of Duty games, one major thing the community is looking for is whether or not the action is fresh immediately off of Modern Warfare.
As for the developers, this Alpha test will no doubt serve as a great stress test for its Multiplayer systems. With thousands of PS4 owners potentially tuning into the Alpha, fans will come out on the other side with a new perspective on the upcoming title.
It is important to note that all players participating in the Alpha between September 18 and 20 will be receiving an Alpha+ reward. This reward will appear as a select Calling Card which can be accessed in Modern Warfare, Warzone, and Black Ops Cold War upon its release.
Fan anticipation for Black Ops Cold War remains high as many players are already downloading the pre-load. The next generation of Call of Duty action may or may not live up to fan expectations, but with next-generation hardware backing up the game’s graphics on new consoles, the action should appear sharper than ever.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is planned to launch on November 13th for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
