God of War: Ragnarok has officially been announced with a new teaser trailer. There are many who have been eagerly awaiting the next installment in the God of War series, and today it has finally been confirmed. As a way of celebrating, Voice Actor Christopher Judge, who portrayed Kratos in God of War, posted a funny video to mark the occasion.
Christopher Judge is the current voice actor for Kratos after Judge replaced Terrence C. Carson, who previously voiced the character in earlier God of War games. Since the success of God of War (2018) Judge has gained a substantial presence online and is beloved by many members of the gaming community. He also has a very self-aware sense of humor.
Shortly after the world premiere of the Ragnarok teaser trailer, Judge took to Twitter and posted a video made to look like Kratos is tinkering around with a Blue Yeti microphone, and after finally figuring out how it works, he shouts “Boy!” into the microphone. It’s fair to say that many of Judge’s fans got a laugh from the video, considering the reception in the voice actor’s replies.
Judge is very involved in terms of God of War’s community of fans. For many in the gaming community, God of War (2018) is considered one of the best games ever made, winning numerous awards, including Best Game at the BAFTA Game Awards. So, for the people who love the series as much as they do, it’s nice that Judge is able to celebrate along with the community of fans.
In any case, it will be interesting to see what kind of game Ragnarok ultimately ends up being. For how much success and popularity God of War (2018) garnered from certain areas the gaming community, it feels like the expectations for this upcoming sequel are impossibly high. It will also be interesting to see how Cory Barlog and the other developers utilize the PS5’s hardware capabilities and how much those advancements will impact the game.
After all of the fan speculation, false alarms, and Barlog inadvertently teasing fans, it’s nice to know that Ragnarok has been officially unveiled, and hopefully, additional information regarding the game and its release is revealed soon. In the meantime, fans can enjoy any and all humorous tweets made by Christopher Judge, which should keep rolling in as Ragnarok gets closer.
