In 2018, THQ Nordic bought the rights of the original Kingdom of Amalur: Reckoning game, slapped on a fresh coat of paint, and remastered the game for fans and newcomers this month. Kingdom of Amalur: Re-Reckoning gives players a lot of flexibility when it comes to playstyles within the three skill trees of Might, Finesse, and Sorcery.
Sorcery, a magic-based playstyle, is generally considered the most versatile in skill and gear options. For fans who prefer to use magic in RPGs, here is a guide to some of the best builds that favor the Sorcery skill tree.
If fans prefer to keep their distance from enemies and fight from a distance, then this build will best fit their playstyle. Pure Sorcery focuses on spell-casting through the Archmage destiny within the Sorcery tab. Through this build, players will receive:
- +50% Elemental Damage
- +3 Mana Regen Per Second
- +25% Mana Cost Reduction
- Ice Blink 3 – Teleport
- +25% Duration for certain spells
- Echoes of Fate – gives players the chance to spawn an ally.
This build will be for fans who prefer to play as Tanks in RPGs and value a strong defense when casting their spells. Players will need to prioritize on the Champion destiny to receive:
- 75% of Damage received as Mana
- +15% Total armor
- +20% Melee Attack Damage
- +25% Elemental Resistance
- Blink
- Harmonic Overload – Elemental Projections
While this build is also for Finesse based players, it will be through a bow this time to have a higher chance at landing critical hits. Fans will need to plan on increasing their critical hit chance as much as possible. When paired with the Shadowcaster destiny, players will get:
- +34% Elemental Damage
- +12% Critical Hit Chance
- +20% Piercing Damage
- +2 Mana Per Second
- 100% to Critical Hit to Mobs in Panic
- Blink
- Critical Hits Restore Mana
Sorcery is great because even if fans don’t want to follow this guide thoroughly, they can make minor tweaks of their own and still come out with a killer build. Kingdom of Amalur Re-Reckoning offers the player a lot of variety for weapons such as staffs, bows, spears, and daggers.
