Fall Guys is probably the biggest surprise hit of the year and with the way things are going, that probably isn’t going to change. Even if fans take out the fact that it seemingly came out of nowhere, it is still one of the most entertaining games to release this year. It’s simple and fun, yet, it somehow manages to avoid most of the gamer rage that comes with most battle royales.
The game is already massively popular and with popularity comes two things, memes and fan art. Fall Guys has both of those things in spades. Fans have even gotten to making comics based around everyone’s favorite Jellybeans.
9 There Can Be Only One
Gaming has become more and more competitive ever since the rise and legitimization of esports. But considering that games have always been competitive in some way, maybe it is just inevitable. Either way, the competitive spirit that all gamers have inside of them extends to every game, and Fall Guys is no exception. Everyone wants to be qualified into the next round but there are only so many players that can make it, so sometimes, sacrifices need to be made.
8 Luck Smiles Upon You Sometimes
The laws of physics in Falls Guys are not so much laws as they are suggestions to the player. This is compounded by the weird and inconsistent weightiness that the characters in Fall Guys have, being surprisingly heavy sometimes and then light as a feather in the very next moment. This has led to some players being flung across the map by the game’s various obstacles. The strange thing is it can actually help the player get ahead of the pack.
7 Four Types Of Fall Guys Players
Part of what makes Fall Guys so fun to play is that each game has a slightly different challenge and dynamic. Most of the time it’s every jellybean for themselves. Other times, players will have to work together as a team. However, that is not always the case if players don’t exactly feel like getting along.
Then you have the games that are obstacle courses. There is always that one player who wants to ruin the other players’ chance at winning, making things much more difficult for those who haven’t won one a single game. Perhaps, that win will come one day.
6 My Team Vs The Enemy Team
Nearly every gamer can relate if they’re fans of team-based video games. This may even bring back memories of every group project in school. Players will try their best to do everything possible to win the match, as for the teammates? Maybe not so much. Meanwhile, on the enemy team, players are coasting through the game. The enemy team might as well be made up of former members of the Navy Seals working together perfectly.
5 Everyone Needs Hugs
Being a gamer can be pretty lonely in a game like Fall Guys. Most of the game is just about everyone playing for themselves except for maybe one level per match. These days, with everyone stuck inside, it’s easy to understand why people are feeling a little lonely. It’s why Fall Guys is a breath of fresh air to most gamers. Not only is it a battle royale game (that isn’t about shooting), but it is a fun light-hearted game that allows players to connect. According to this comic by Chris McCoy, maybe players need to hug it out instead of fight.
4 Fall Guys To Fall Men
Most of the matches in Fall Guys start off with the same kind of level. The many different obstacle course or race type levels that do really well at thinning out a decent chunk of the players in the game. The variety of race types also the game’s bread and butter and what puts it on the map in terms of games to look out for. The thing about them is that if a player falls behind, it is unlikely that they will catch up. In the chance that comebacks are made, it’s even more satisfying. However, according to Raph_comic players will continue to die trying.
3 Run.
Miniskits_Comics knows exactly how it can feel to be a player with a tail. Things can get intense when it’s the final stretch of the match. The player with the tail is running with about the same intensity that somebody running away from a horde of zombies would be running. The ever-impending sense of doom as the player just narrowly dodges the other players brings gamers an adrenaline rush. With players diving at them from pretty much all sides, it would lead to an impressive win for those tailed players.
2 Highest Bidder
The developers of Fall Guys, Devolver Digital, recently had a contest to see which brand could donate the most money to a charity that the developer was supporting. The winning brand would be rewarded with a skin in-game that would feature their brand as the main theme. Nerfnow captured the contest with the highest bidder being from Japan. With how popular Fall Guys has become, this would be a massive opportunity for “free” advertising, especially if the skin became permanent.
1 Did Nobody Take Physics
The Seesaw game is probably the most iconic and recognizable out of all of the games in Fall Guys. It’s the viewers on Twitch like the most and it’s the one that Twitch streamers get the most views on, so it’s a win-win. It also helps that it is commonly one of the first games in a match, so it has the most chance of being seen by players. The problem comes when the players actually play the game. It turns out that most people don’t know how a seesaw works and would rather fall multiple times instead of just figuring it out.
