Over the past several weeks, Fortnite players have been completing a series of special challenges in an attempt to unlock a skin fashioned after the iconic X-Men Wolverine. While that cosmetic still remains unavailable, a recent update has added a Wolverine boss to the game, and undoubtedly many fans will be interested in taking him down. Before players can eliminate this new Fortnite Season 4 boss, though, they must first learn its location, and this guide looks to assist with exactly that.
To get right to it, Fortnite‘s Wolverine boss appears at random spots in Weeping Woods, and players that wish to locate him may need to do fairly extensive searches of the area. While this may come as a bit of a disappointment to those fans that were hoping for an exact spawn location for Wolverine, the element of randomness may at least serve to add some additional excitement to the encounter, and here is a map that clarifies the precise position of Weeping Woods for players that need one:
Once a fan has found Wolverine they are then free to engage him in battle, though coming out on top can prove challenging. Indeed, not only does Wolverine dish out significant damage and move very quickly, he can also absorb a great number of bullets before he falls. That said, Fortnite players that approach with a decent arsenal, exercise patience, and work to maintain their distance from this brand new boss should ultimately be able to take him down.
With respect to what fans will earn for successfully eliminating Wolverine, the real prize is a new Mythic power in the form of his claws. These claws allow players to perform melee slashes and quick dashes, and while they may not rival the best weapons in Fortnite Season 4, many fans will undoubtedly enjoy using them when the opportunity arises.
For those players that have still not started the aforementioned Wolverine challenges, it is worth noting that the first one is sited at Weeping Woods. This challenge instructs fans to investigate mysterious claw marks, and players that have not done this already might as well keep their eyes peeled while they are in the area. Of course, looking for scratches may not be quite as exciting as tracking down and eliminating a new boss, but the Wolverine skin that comes from completing all of the challenge may make the effort worthwhile.
Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions in development.
