Call of Duty: Warzone continues to improve with every season release as new patches update old content and fix problems in the game. Although there have been several Warzone updates since its initial release, the game still has problems that only appear on rare occasions.
It was one of these rare problems that caught the attention of this Warzone fan. After some experimentation, they discovered a hole in the ground texture that is too small for a player to fall through, but the perfect size for a piece of equipment. Although this is a minor problem, shifting textures could be a sign of a much larger concern for developers.
In the video, Reddit user ComfyCube is investigating a particular section of ground. After rushing forward and tossing a C4 at it, the player watched as the C4 simply slipped below the mesh and fell to some unknown location. Upon closer inspection, the ground seems solid. As the player slowly pans around the section, a thin blue line can be seen where the mesh of the two sections of ground are not completely stuck together. While this is not a large enough hole to cause a massive problem, dropped loot could easily fall beneath the map and disappear to an unknown place. It is unknown if Infinity Ward is aware of this subtle Warzone bug.
The Reddit fan continued to test the spot, tossing additional C4 and even an ammo container at the glitched floor. None of these items slipped through the mesh, making it seem that the object in question would have to impact the ground at a very specific spot/angle.
A player in the comments points out that in Downtown there is a similar spot. They know of this spot because it absorbed their Warzone custom Kilo after they accidentally looted a P90. The fact that there are more sections of the map like this could be concerning to some fans as grenades, loot items, and other in-game objects could accidentally glitch through the floor and be lost that round.
Although this is a minor problem, it is still worth bringing developer attention to it. In a last-minute gunfight or intense assault situations, a glitched floor could mean the difference between life or death for each of the teams. Players who find glitched spots in Warzone like this are encouraged to report it on Reddit, Twitter, and the Activision Support page in an effort to inform the development team of the persisting map mesh problem.
