Fortnite Adds Marvel’s Blade to the Shop | Game Rant

Fortnite is around a month into its massive Marvel event, with the game seeing new themes heroes, villains, locations, and challenges added regularly. The Daywalker himself has also arrived within Fortnite, as Blade is now purchasable within the shop.

While Fortnite fans make memes about Avengers: Endgame, the cosmetic designers at Epic Games have been hard at work on a skin for the anti-hero. Blade’s storied comic history of vampire slaying was translated to the screen through the cult-classic movie trilogy in the early 2000s, and with the hero set to get an MCU movie in a few years, now is a great time to add him to Fortnite.

The Blade pack also includes back bling for the Daywalker, with the character’s iconic sword being equippable to the slot. The Blade bundle also includes a pickaxe version of the sword, a cool touch that adds to the value of the bundle. Being able to chop down swords and players early on with Blade’s sword is a fun touch, and for players who like to take to the skies, the pack includes a neat-looking glider as well. While the bundle and its contents are not too surprising given recent leaks for Fortnite and the Blade teaser by Epic themselves, it is still nice to see another Marvel character added to the game.

If the Fortnite Marvel leaks continue to prove true, which they are almost certain to do because of their extensiveness and the track record of the Fortnite leakers sharing them, Blade will be joined by Venom in the near future. The beloved Spider-Man villain first leaked for the game a few weeks back, and with more Venom leaks being discovered, it should not be long before he comes to the game. Who comes next is anyone’s guess, as it seems like the entirety of Marvel’s roster is showing up within Fortnite.

Given Venom’s upcoming appearance, Spider-Man could show up in Fortnite soon. Beyond the webslinger, the next most likely areas to look would be the unfinished rosters of certain Marvel properties. The entirety of the Fantastic Four could join the game alongside Doctor Doom, while Gamora and Drax could join Star-Lord and Groot as playable heroes. More X-Men could always come to the game as well, with Jean Grey and Cyclops likely being near the top of player wish lists.

Regardless of which skins come to the game, though, Blade fans should be happy to see the Daywalker arrive within Fortnite. After all, bot-only matches in Fortnite could prove a bit more fun when playing as a badass vampire slayer.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with next-gen availability planned for launch.
