Destiny 2 Players Will Want to Save Their Bright Dust for Next Week

Destiny 2 players that have been stockpiling their Bright Dust are in for a treat, as next week will bring three exotic armor ornaments to the Eververse Store. These three ornaments have been available since the launch of Season of Arrivals but only now are they all being sold for Bright Dust.

The three new-ish Destiny 2 armor ornaments are for the Celestial Nighthawk exotic Hunter helmet, the Hallowfire Heart exotic Titan chest piece, and the Transversive Steps exotic Warlock boots. All three exotic armor pieces are top tier for their respective classes, so many Destiny 2 Guardians are likely to be wearing them as part of their loadout.

The Celestial Nighthawk ornament is called HRAFNAGUD and it gives the exotic Hunter helmet a more Plague Doctor-y look. Celestial Nighthawk has lost some of its value in recent seasons thanks to the viability of Nightstalker Hunters, but it is still one of the best when it comes to single target damage in PvE. Bungie has also done some interesting things with ornaments for the helmet that further embellish the bird-like design of it.

Titan’s have the Hallowfire Heart ornament called Acturus Engine available next week, and it gives the exotic chest piece a look that’s reminiscent of a jetpack. One of the previous Hallowfire Heart ornaments focused on the flames in the abdomen region of the chest piece, but Acturus Engine brings the whole design together. It might be hard to find a look that matches the blue flames of the exotic Titan ornament (assuming they don’t change with a shader), but it’s a unique look nonetheless. The

Hallowfire Heart has been a solid choice for Sunbreaker Titans because it increases ability recharge rate when a player’s Super meter is full. For PvE, this is a useful perk because it gives Titans more opportunities to use their Hammer Strike ability to weaken larger enemies for higher DPS.

Finally, the Tranversive Steps’ ornament is called Path to Convergence it gives the exotic boots a Vex-like appearance. In fact, the ornament blends in well when a player is wearing armor pieces from the Garden of Salvation raid.

Transversive Steps are a very useful Warlock exotic for Destiny 2 players because they reload any drawn weapon while the player is sprinting. For PvP this is a huge boon because it allows for engaging an opponent, sprinting away, and then engaging a new opponent without the downtime of reloading. It also helps in PvE when using a weapon that might otherwise take a while to reload, like a hand cannon or heavy machine gun.

As mentioned, all three of these new Season of Arrivals exotic ornaments will be sold by Eververse next week, so players have a few days to complete their weekly bounties and build up a small Bright Dust stockpile. Of course, with Destiny 2 changing the way Eververse works in Beyond Light it’s possible that these items will come back around again. But it’s highly unlikely that they will all be sold at the same time.

Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
