Kirby: Star Allies fans have cause for excitement, as Nintendo revealed its original artbook. The book will contain concept art from the game, images from the post launch updates, and even messages from and interviews with developers. At the moment, this art book is scheduled to release in Japan on March 16th, 2021, meaning fans will have to wait until next year to get their hands on it.
The art book, titled Kirby Star Allies: The Original Artbook, is only available in Japan at the moment, and will retail for ¥2970. There is no word on whether or not western audiences will get a translated version in the future, so fans will simply have to wait and see.
The book will certainly prove interesting for those that like to see behind the scenes looks at games, as a lot of the art contained within is from early concept stages. Alongside these, there are also some in depth looks at other pieces of art from the game, including content from the post-launch Kirby: Star Allies updates and more.
With any luck, the Kirby Star Allies: The Original Artbook will be localized for western audiences soon, but those that don’t want to wait could always try and pre-order a japanese version. The interviews and messages would need to be translated, but the pictures would obviously be fine. Ordering from overseas isn’t always easy, though, and a third party forwarder will likely be necessary. Either way, Kirby fans seem excited to see this new content coming out years after the game’s initial release.
Kirby: Star Allies is available now on Switch.
