Apex Legends Brings Back Live Die Live LTM | Game Rant

Players of Respawn Entertainment’s Apex Legends have been treated to a multitude of limited-time modes (LTM) this month as part of its September Soiree event. While some of these modes like DUMMIEs Big Day have been brand new, others are returning favorites such as Armed & Dangerous. To close out the month, Respawn has brought back another fan-favorite mode: Live Die Live.

Live Die Live is an LTM that first appeared in January of 2020. In this mode, players automatically respawn at the beginning of each round as long as one squad member is still alive, with no banner or Respawn Beacon required. Apex Legends players who are interested in taking part in this mode should jump on the game soon, as the LTM will conclude on October 6.

Respawn has shown that it’s not afraid to bring back fan-favorite LTMs in the past. This August, Apex Legends players saw the return of the popular Always Be Closing LTM, where the ring around the arena slowly encroaches without any pauses. However, the developer decided to give the mode a twist when reintroduced, giving players the Mozambique as a starting weapon.

While Respawn Entertainment is focused on bringing new twists to game modes for returning players to enjoy, some Apex Legends players have begun brainstorming ideas to help newer players get into the battle royale. One players has suggested implementing a hero rotation into the game that gives players an opportunity to try out new Legends before buying them.

A mechanic like that certainly seems possible, especially considering how far Respawn Entertainment is planning ahead for Apex Legends content. Recently, a dataminer was able to find information and leak designs for seven new Legends possibly coming in the future. While this information hasn’t been confirmed by Respawn itself, the leaker, Biast12, has been reliable in the past. Some of the Legends pictured have also previously been hinted at in prior seasons.

However, Respawn Entertainment is also focused on the present community around its game. Many players are anticipating Apex Legends‘ big crossplay update to be coming very soon. Not only will this be an opportunity for PC, PS4, and Xbox One players to finally test their battle prowess against one another, but Nintendo Switch players will be joining the fray as well. Perhaps another big event like the September Soiree will come to pass around the time that update hits.

Apex Legends is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with a Switch version currently in development.
