Call of Duty: Warzone Bug Lets Players Teleport Out of the Gulag

While Season 6 of Call of Duty: Warzone came with plenty of new content, the big update has also introduced new bugs to the mode. Yesterday, one of those glitches was found when a Warzone player stumbled upon a way to teleport outside of the Gulag after being eliminated — though not in a helpful way.

Call of Duty player SyleathS-TV posted the clip of the glitch to the r/CODWarzone subreddit, and it kicks off as one would expect. With the player entering the Gulag after being eliminated, the usual cutscene plays, but as soon as it ends something odd happens. For some unknown reason, SyleathS gets teleported to one of Warzone‘s new subway tunnels, and he’s not alone.

Both players have no time complete the Warzone subway easter egg, as they think fast and start fighting one another despite their confusion. SyleathS manages to pick up the kill, looting the area before the second bit of the glitch occurs. Out of nowhere, he is teleported right back to the Gulag, this time into the actual showers area where the fight to respawn occurs. SyleathS’ confusion continues, and this time it gets the better of him.

It would seem as if the odd glitch teleports players somewhere random in the map before their Gulag round as opposed to keeping them in the watch area as intended. The bug is anything but advantageous, though, as teleporting out of the Gulag may sound like a positive when first read but truly is a detriment in-game. SyleathS was clearly unprepared for both fights after being transported in and out of the subway tunnels, and any other players getting moved around will likely be the same. With Season 6 also bringing Warzone connection issues, hopefully Infinity Ward releases some hotfixes soon.

The ghost-like teleportation may loosely fit the theme of Warzone’s upcoming Halloween event, but it is very clearly a bug that needs to be fixed. Players are clearly unhappy with all the problems caused by the newest Warzone update, as reddit user KingKaizerVII replied to the post with a list of problems that players often discuss. While the list includes some subjective comments such as a “disappointing battle pass”, KingKaizerVII calls out many non-debatable issues like disappearing lobbies, crashes, and cheaters.

With game-breaking bugs like this combining with Warzone’s huge cheating problem, the mode is in dire need of some fixes. If it does not get them, KingKaizerVII may be right be saying that “the game might just die” if nothing changes.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
