Destiny 2‘s Memory of Vell Tarlowe quest is part of a series of weekly tasks that can be obtained from Eris Morn on the Moon. Primarily, this mission centers around obtaining Vell Tarlowe’s Reforged Mark, and that is ultimately accomplished by collecting a total of 25 Mark Fragments. For those players that are having trouble locating these Mark Fragments, or are simply looking for recommendations on how to easily complete this Destiny 2 Shadowkeep mission, this guide is here to help.
To note, before a player can start earning the Mark Fragments that are required for Destiny 2‘s Memory of Vell Tarlowe quest, they must first complete the replayable story mission on the Moon. This mission can be accessed easily from the Moon’s map, and while it changes from week to week, fans should have little trouble completing it and continuing their pursuit of Vell Tarlowe’s Reforged Mark.
After finishing the replayable story mission, players are ready to start collecting Mark Fragments, and that can be done from inside of any of the Nightmare Hunts in Destiny 2. As with the story mission, these can be accessed directly from the Moon’s map, and it is advisable to set the difficulty level to Adept. Indeed, this will make it quite easy to take down the Nightmare Hunts’ powerful enemies, and that is exactly what fans must do in order to earn Mark Fragments and progress the Memory of Vell Tarlowe quest.
That said, players cannot simply gun down these foes, as Mark Fragments are only granted if the Destiny 2 powerful enemy (one with a yellow health bar) is killed with a melee blow. This requires fans to do a bit of a balancing act, getting the enemy’s health low enough for a melee kill without prematurely dispatching the adversary, and it can prove slightly tedious. However, Destiny 2 players that exercise a bit of patience should be able to obtain the requisite 25 Mark Fragments in fairly short order.
With all of the Mark Fragments collected and Vell Tarlowe’s Reforged Mark in hand, players are ready to return to Eris Morn and complete Destiny 2‘s Memory of Vell Tarlowe mission. For clarity, Eris will be found through the portal in Sanctuary, and she will deliver a brief monologue about Vell Tarlowe once she is located. This monologue marks the end of the Memory of Vell Tarlowe quest, and players should be sure to loot the nearby chest to receive their reward.
