分析稱內地總體政策仍有寬鬆需要

中國經濟指標持續改善，財新8月製造業採購經理指數（PMI）由7月的52.8升至53.1，好過市場預期，再創逾9年半最高。市場關注中央會否因應經濟進一步復蘇而調整貨幣政策。

上海商業銀行研究部主管林俊泓則認為，內地總體政策仍有寬鬆需要，以達到中央對今年社會總融資供應目標。他同意，中國水災令通脹有上升壓力，人行亦要關注金融市場會否出現資產泡沫，令減息及降準的急切性減低，預料人行下一季只會降準1次，減息空間亦不大。

南韓新增235宗確診　首都圈銀行縮短營業時間

南韓新增235宗新型冠狀病毒確診病例，累計突破2萬宗。單日確診病例雖然連續5天減少，但仍以三位數增長。

新增個案中，社區感染佔222宗，主要集中在首都圈。

為防疫情蔓延，首都圈銀行今日早半小時下班，明天起營業時間改為上午9時30分到下午3時30分，即縮短1小時。暫定維持至星期日。若防疫響應期限延長或升級，銀行將繼續縮短營業時間。

捷克參議院議長續訪台行程　強調不聽從非民主國家指示

訪台的捷克參議院議長維斯特奇爾到立法院演說。他說民主是自由世界生活必須具備的最高價值，並非取決於議員人數，或立法機關的大小；又指議會除了通過法律，亦要捍衛民主原則。他用華語講「我是台灣人」作為總結，以示支持台灣。

維斯特奇爾之後接受訪問，指今次到台灣是表達捷克主權的一種方式，強調捷克不會聽從其他國家，特別是非民主國家的指示。他又說根據捷克的解釋，訪台並無違反「一中原則」，強調並非針對中國，而是希望與中國發展友好、公平及互利雙邊關係。
