Super Mario Bros. 35 is Now Live | Game Rant

Super Mario Bros. 35 is now live. The last-bro-standing battle royale game is a multiplayer remix of the original Super Mario Bros., and fans will want to take advantage sooner rather than later, as Super Mario Bros. 35 will not be in the eShop forever.

Like the Super Mario 3D All-Stars collection, the online multiplayer game is one of a few celebrations of Super Mario‘s 35-year anniversary. The official Nintendo Twitter page has shared that Super Mario Bros. 35 is now available to download for free for anyone who has a Switch Online Subscription (which now includes some great games).

The official release date for Super Mario Bros. 35 is October 1, 2020, but it may not appear in the eShop immediately depending on time zones. Some players, however, have jumped the gun via a Japanese Switch account.

Super Mario Bros. 35 shares a lot of the same DNA as Tetris Royale, which is also available on Switch Online. Players must race to the finish in what seems like the recognizable Mushroom Kingdom from the original Super Mario Bros. However, taking down enemies will send “trash” to one of the other 35 Mario players, where they will have to dodge and outmaneuver incoming obstacles.

The most curious thing about this exciting new multiplayer Mario game is that it will only be available for a limited time, much like the well-received Super Mario 3D-All Stars. Perhaps Nintendo will change its mind before taking Super Mario Bros. 35 off of the virtual shelf, but for now, players can finally enjoy the experience.
