Flight Simulator developer Asobo is working on two new games

Microsoft Flight Simulator developer Asobo is working on projects with Microsoft and Focus Home Interactive, the studio has revealed today.

Microsoft Flight Simulator, which has attracted over 1 million unique players since it launched on August 18, has been a massive success for Microsoft.

Arriving on Xbox Games Pass for PC on day one, the game has attracted hobbyists and newcomers to the sim genre alike, and as the reviews will tell you, it’s universally loved.

French developer Asobo will be providing support for the game for the next 10 years, but that’s not the only thing the studio has cooking. According to an article in La Tribune (with translations via MadInfinite), the developer is also working on something new with Microsoft.

The second project will be published by Focus Home Interactive – the same publisher that released the studio’s (very different!) A Plague Tale: Innocence back in 2019.

A Plague Tale: Innocence arrived on Xbox Games Pass in December 2019, too – so it’s been clear that the studio and the platform holder have had a good relationship for a while now.

Rumors have circulated that Asobo will be working on a follow-up to A Plague Tale, but there’s been no confirmation on that yet.

It’d make sense, though: the game sold over 1 million copies, so there’s clearly a demand for it.
