Though they may not seem it, Dandelion Seeds are a very important resource to have in Genshin Impact. Despite their importance and use in many recipes and commissions, the game doesn’t explain how players can get these items or where to find them. Luckily, there are a few easy farming spots where players can get a ton of Dandelion Seeds.
Dandelion Seeds have a lot of uses in Genshin Impact, but players will first need to find and collect them. They can be found all throughout the map in various places, but there are some set areas where they are guaranteed to spawn each day.
After finding a Dandelion, the player will need to hit it with Anemo magic, the wind element of Genshin Impact. The main character of course has wind magic, but others such as Venti also can accomplish this. Hitting the Dandelion with wind magic will cause it to drop its seed.
Dandelions, pictured above, can be found most prominently in the regions around Mondstadt. The best and easiest place to find them is actually right outside the city’s gates, where several will spawn each day. Aside from that, players may want to search the nearby temple right outside of Mondstadt. Some Anemo Slimes will spawn if the player gets close, but it is another reliable source of Dandelion Seeds. Finally, on the portion of land in between the Dawn Winery and the Stone Gate, players can find a ridge with several Dandelions growing, just be sure to hit them with Anemo attacks to get the seeds.
Though there is a quest that requires players to get Dandelion Seeds, they are used in many other ways as well. Sometimes players will need to collect them for a daily commission, making them a great way to level up Adventure Rank fast in Genshin Impact. They are also used as alchemy ingredients for potions that boost Anemo damage dealt by the player or reduce incoming Anemo damage. Finally, they are a key ingredient for the Ascension of Jean, so players wanting to use her will definitely need to farm for some of these seeds.
Getting Dandelion Seeds is by no means difficult, but players simply need to know where to look and how to harvest them. With this knowledge, it should be an easy task to get around 15 or more Dandelion Seeds a day, which will be helpful for ascension, as Jean requires a total of 168 Dandelion Seeds to reach max Ascension.
