Mediatonic is currently hard at work gearing up for Season 2 of the smash hit title Fall Guys. Now, the official Fall Guys Twitter has revealed a brand new obstacle similar to the previous Fall Guys hammer obstacle Big Yeetus.
While details remain a bit hazy on whether or not this obstacle will appear randomly like Big Yeetus, the obstacle has been officially revealed with its new name. The name, in similar ridiculous Fall Guys fashion to Big Yeetus, was unveiled officially as “Thicc Bonkus.”
For those readers who somehow missed it, Fall Guys became an incredible success story back in August. One of the key factors in the game’s success was its inclusion as a free PS Plus title for the month of August. Fall Guys was such a huge success that it broke a massive PS Plus record, being the most downloaded PS Plus of all time on a global basis. Now, Mediatonic is hard at work on Season 2, adding new costumes, stages, and obstacles to the game in hopes to keep that magic alive for months to come.
One of those obstacles has now been officially unveiled with a very Fall Guys-esque name. The obstacle in question is officially called “Thicc Bonkus” and is shaped like a large rotating wheel with spikes adorning it. Thicc Bonkus was teased by the official Fall Guys Twitter account in late September and showed what looked to be an early concept design for Thicc Bonkus. Interestingly, it appears that players in the community helped name Thicc Bonkus, as the Fall Guys Twitter asked fans to name the obstacle in the same post that showed off that same early design.
Thicc Bonkus won’t be available for players to encounter until Season 2 starts. Thankfully, Fall Guys’ Season 2 start date is October 8, so players don’t have to wait long at all to run into Thicc Bonkus. There’s going to be plenty of brand new content coming to Fall Guys with the start of Season 2. Content like new costumes, new gameplay and customization features, and even a brand new theme centered around the Medieval Period.
Mediatonic has given players a sneak peek at some of the new stages in Fall Guys Season 2 like the Knight Fever level. In fact, the Knight Fever stage appears to be the same stage where the early concept design for Thicc Bonkus was first shown off. While the recent tweet from Fall Guys shows a slightly altered version of Thicc Bonkus, it appears the two obstacles are fairly similarly. Players will have to wait until Season 2 starts on October 8 to see just how Thicc Bonkus functions.
Fall Guys Season 2 will be available on October 8, 2020 for PC and PlayStation 4.
