The final DLC to Fallout 4 takes the player to Nuka-World, where three raider gangs are hungry for power. As the new Overboss, the player has a ton of work to do, from securing settlements for their gangs to liberating each of the five parks and dividing them to their favorite raider groups.
The DLC also introduced 10 new achievements (or trophies) into the game, some of which are tied to quests while others are a bit more special. Players looking to fully complete the entire Nuka-World experience should absolutely snatch these additional achievements, and here’s how to get them with ease.
10 Taken For A Ride
The very first achievement is called Taken For A Ride, and is granted at the end of the Gauntlet. The Gauntlet starts as soon as the player arrives at Nuka-World through the transit center, and they’ll be forced to go through a long and perilous journey through a raider maze full of fire and explosives.
The biggest challenge is to remain vigilant during the Gauntlet itself and disarming traps, so make sure to go slowly. Power armor is a bonus, as well as a bunch of RadAway, Rad-X and Stimpaks. At the end of the Gauntlet, Overboss Colter must be defeated. Grab the fusion core in the back of the locker room before heading down to the arena to get a small advantage against him right off the bat.
9 The Grand Tour
The Grand Tour is both the name of the achievement and the quest itself, and is probably the longest and most complicated quest in the entire DLC. It involves clearing all five parks outside of Nuka-Town, each of which has their own enemies and challenges the player needs to conquer.
It’s recommended to take a follower along on this journey, either someone tanky like Paladin Danse or someone able like Porter Gage. The easiest park to start with is definitely Dry Rock Gulch, due to how little damage the Bloodworms do. Make sure to check this full guide on how to complete the Grand Tour.
8 Home Sweet Home
After the Grand Tour has been finished, the next quest line involves the player capturing some Commonwealth Minutemen settlements for the three raider gangs of Nuka-World. Named after the quest itself, completing this part of the DLC’s questline grants the player with the Home Sweet Home achievement.
The hardest aspect of this quest is without a doubt fighting off Sinner and his gang, who will show up to a claimed settlement. These raiders will do quite a bit of damage, so preparing with a power armor is key. Some of their members are also in power armor, meaning that flanking them to shoot their fusion core in the back is a valid strategy.
7 Power Play
The final part of the DLC’s main questline is an achievement of its own. One of the gangs will eventually betray the Overboss, no matter what is done for them. The parks and settlements simply can’t be divided equally, for the sake of the plot. Whoever ends up betraying the player character will be holed up in the Nuka-World Power Plant.
This quest isn’t too hard to complete, since the player will be joined by the two other raider bosses and their companion if they have one. Make sure not to miss the special power armor found inside the power plant, however, as it’s held behind security gates.
6 Beverageer
Nuka-World is, as the name implies, all about Nuka-Cola and its countless variants. Throughout the parks and by talking to a few NPCs, the player will be able to find additional rare Nuka-Cola variant recipes, which can be mixed at the various Nuka-mixer stations found in the different parks.
The achievement Beverageer can be unlocked when 20 different recipes are mixed at the station. Many of the recipes call for additional ingredients like alcohol, a few select chems, and even dirty water and carrot. Make sure to pick up as many recipes when completing the Grand Tour.
5 All Sugared Up
Speaking of Nuka-Cola, it’s only appropriate there’s an achievement that encourages the player to consume as much of the sugary drink as possible. The achievement All Sugared Up is just that, as it involves the player killing 40 Nuka-World enemies while under the influence.
This is pretty easy to do while conquering the parks during the Grand Tour. Since Nuka-Cola and all of its variants can be found pretty much all over the park — even in trash bins — it’s good to keep an eye out for them. Expensive ones like Quantum and Victory should be saved for recipes, but regular Orange, Wild, Cherry, Quartz and so on are all fair game.
4 Diebrarian
In the Commonwealth, the player has already become familiar with the myriad of magazines that can be found lying all around, which can significantly boost perks and stats permanently. With Nuka-World, a brand new series of magazines is introduced, titled as SCAV!, and is found in the various parks and all around the DLC’s map.
Luckily, there are only five issues of SCAV!. There’s one in Galactic Zone, Kiddie Kingdom and Dry Rock Gulch. The other two can be found at Nuka-World junkyard and at the Grandchester Mystery Mansion. The Dry Rock Gulch one might be difficult to access prior to Nuka-World’s main power being online.
3 Hostile Takeover
There’s actually a second achievement related to the raider settlements, but the player will need to grab more in order to unlock this one. In order to unlock Hostile Takeover, the player should have established eight raider settlements in the Commonwealth.
Luckily, the process of building these settlements is much easier than with the Minutemen. It will generate caps for the Overboss, and also unlock Wasteland Warlord perks, which will open up more building opportunities. The best way to make the settlements work is to remember that unlike settlers, raiders hate honest work — and work in general — and to build around that.
2 Raiding For A Living
Even after the entire main quest has been finished, the remaining gang leaders will still have plenty of jobs for the Sole Survivor to do. These are repetitive radiant quests that rotate over time and often feature a different target or location.
Completing 12 of them will unlock the achievement Raiding For A Living. It’s a fantastic way to make some extra caps while getting a bit of action, and fits the whole raider lifestyle pretty well. It’s also one of the easier achievements to get so long as the player enjoys doing the same thing over and over.
1 Eyes On The Prize
The final achievement involves the famous Nuka-Cade, featuring a bunch of classic arcade games which then generate tickets that can be used to get those rare prize items from the prize terminal. Eyes On The Prize requires the player to redeem a whopping number of 100,000 tickets.
During the Grand Tour, the player will be able to find a bunch of tickets in either rolls or singles in trash bins or even lying around here and there. Keep an eye for those blue tickets at all times. However, to reach the amount needed for the achievement, the player will need to master the arcade games found in Nuka-Cade, which aren’t that difficult and just require some grinding and pre-war money to get tokens for.
