Several days ago, Nintendo released a huge update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons that added tons of spooky content to the game in preparation for Halloween. However, shortly after the release of the new Fall/Halloween update, players noticed that a bug was also introduced in the game.
The bug affected the in-game passport in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, given that some titles that players can acquire with Nook Miles are no longer appearing in passports. Of course, while the issue is a minor one, it is still a nuisance to players dedicated to collecting every title available on their passports in the game. Thankfully, Nintendo was quick to respond to the current issue and reassured fans that the bug would be fixed as soon as possible.
In a statement released via social media, Nintendo apologized for the inconvenience caused by the bug saying, “We are aware of a bug that was introduced in update version 1.5.0 where some of the titles acquired with Nook Miles are not appearing on passports. We are currently fixing the bug and will send out a bug fix as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.” It is still unknown how long it will take for Nintendo to remedy the problem. However, given that the issue is only a minor glitch, it is likely that the fix will be patched into Animal Crossing: New Horizons soon.
Apart from the minor issue, Nintendo’s latest update introduced a wide variety of new content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which transitions the island from Summer to Fall. One of the biggest changes that players will notice is the change in the island’s overall color scheme, favoring an Autumn-inspired palette. Additionally, the Fall/Halloween update also brought pumpkins to the game that players can use as decorations for their homes, or as a resource for new Halloween-themed DIY recipes. The Able Sisters’ shop will also feature a new collection of Halloween costumes that players can wear to go trick-or-treating on their islands.
On October 31st, villagers will gather around the plaza at around 5 PM for the Halloween festivities. According to Nintendo, the plaza will be decorated with Halloween decorations, and players can hand out candy to their neighbors. The latest update also introduced Jack, who calls himself the “czar of Halloween” and is the latest visitor that players will encounter on their islands. During Jack’s visits, players can give him lollipops in return for some Halloween-themed rewards. Moreover, the latest update also a new feature for the NookLink app on their real-life smartphones.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is out now exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.
