Crash Bandicoot 4: Where to Find the Yellow Gem | Game Rant

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is one of the largest Crash Bandicoot games to date. With over 40 unique levels to complete, not to mention extra flashback challenges and N. Verted mode, Crash 4 has firmly established itself in the franchise. And, like all Crash games, there are plenty of collectibles for players to find.

The colored gems are some of the most prized collectibles in Crash 4, with each of the four gems unlocking achievements and extra content for players. Unlike the numerous clear gems players can collect in Crash 4, which are unlocked via smashing crates or keeping a low death count, colored gems require a bit more work to find.

The yellow gem is the last colored gem players will encounter in Crash 4. It can be found in the Mosquito Marsh dimensional map in the level ‘Run it Bayou.’ At the beginning of the level, players will encounter a jet board. Instead of jumping on the board, players will need to slide-jump across to the ledge on the right side with the floating crates. Jumping across the crates will lead to a moving platform. Crossing this platform will then take players to a ledge with a stack of four crates.

Above the crates, out of view of the screen, is the yellow gem. It’s purposely not visible in the game, but players will be able to find the gem by jumping on the stack of crates. To reach the yellow gem, players will need to hold the jump button and perform a double jump off of the crates. It may take a few tries, but there are still chances to reach the gem as long as there are crates to jump on.

Some players may find it difficult to return to the jet board from the gem area while going backwards, but rest assured that dying after picking up the gem does not require it to be found again. The level can then be completed as normal and reaching the end will earn players the ‘Topaz Pizazz’ trophy achievement. Collecting all the colored gems in Crash 4 will all contribute towards the 100% completion players need to unlock extra content in the game.

Crash 4 gives players plenty of reason to replay its many levels. There are over 200 clear gems to be found, including a hidden one in every level. There are also multiple timeline levels that are unlocked with each new playable character that Crash and Coco encounter, meaning players will often need to skip between dimensional maps to ensure all levels have been completed.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is available now on PS4 and Xbox One.
