MiHoYo’s open-world RPG Genshin Impact seems to have taken the world by storm over the past week. With over 17 million downloads on mobile alone in the first four days, the free-to-play gacha game has been heralded by players who think it could be a top contender for 2020’s Game of the Year. And now that the game has been out for a little bit, players have been wondering how to put together the most optimal builds for characters like Fischl.
Fischl is a 4-star archer character that specializes in the Electro element. While her arrows may not pack as much of a punch as the 5-star Anemo archer Venti, players have been incorporating her as a regular part of their roster, perhaps due to the fact she is a more common pull than the wind bard. Regardless, Fischl along with her shadow raven Oz pack a powerful punch and with the right build, can keep pace with some of the higher tier characters.
Genshin Impact players have discovered that Fischl’s greatest strength is the Electro DMG she exudes. By building in favor of this Elemental DMG, players can expect to see those numbers go way up. Players will want to equip 2 artifacts from the Gambler set in order to receive an increase in Elemental Skill DMG by 20%.
The other 2 artifact set that players will need to be on the lookout for is Thundering Fury, giving her a bonus +15% Electro DMG. And as far as weapons go, players will want to look at either The Stringless (increase Elemental Skill and Burst DMG) or the Favonius Warbow (CRIT hit have a chance to generate an Elemental Orb, regenerating 6 Energy).
By maximizing her Electro DMG output in this capacity, players should have no problem in boss fights like the Oceanid, whose primary Element is Hydro. In addition, this will be useful for players who have a Diluc or another Pyro user on their squad for high damage Overload combos.
While this build should allow players to maximize their Fischl play, there is a strong likelihood of her and other OP characters receiving a nerf in the next update. A recent leak seems to indicate that the rumored 1.1 update will be coming on October 12 and will bring major changes to the game like new characters and Inuzuma, the Electro region. While this information is still scuttlebutt at this time, it seems like Genshin Impact players will just have to look forward to the 12th to see if the Prinzessin remains as powerful as she is now.
Genshin Impact is available now on PC, PS4, and mobile devices.
