What’s most appealing to many about My Time At Portia is its quaint setting. It’s set in a post-apocalyptic land, but the atmosphere is often pleasant. You must rebuild a workshop by growing crops and raising livestock, among other things. There’s enough content to keep players engaged for over 60 hours. The objectives are to become a worldwide leader in the industry and generate a following. You start in your garage, then work your way up to the top. Game Dev Tycoon is one of the most enjoyable lesser-known games on Steam.

The puzzles of The Room are an inspiring part of the genre. It’s a point-and-click game filled with mystery and a dark atmosphere that keeps players on the edge of their seats. The Room has been remastered since the original release, and the PC version is masterful. It’s a short game to play, but it’s well worth the time spent.

5 Paper Sorcerer

Although it is a modern game, Paper Sorcerer takes a retro approach to the dungeon-crawling RPG genre. Everything from the engineering to the clean up is involved in playing House Flipper. Players who have done their job correctly will be able to turn houses around and sell them for a profit.

2 The House In Fata Morgana

The House in Fata Morgana is a visual novel that will take you on a time travel adventure. You awaken in a creepy mansion with no recollection of your life or your maid as she stands before you. You later discover that the mansion is filled with doors that take you to the distant past.

With no sense of time, living, or death, the story is gripping until the very end. It’s a lengthy game that will take you approximately 27.5 hours, but this hidden gem is a must-play!

1 TY the Tasmanian Tiger

TY is a Tasmanian tiger from the Australian Outback that wields a boomerang. TY the Tasmanian Tiger originally debuted in the early 2000s and feels like a video game time capsule of that era. This hidden gem has an old-school vibe to tie-in with exploration.

The version you’ll find on the Steam Store is the remastered version, which plays in high-definition and 60 frames per second. Did you like Yooka-Laylee, Banjo-Kazooie, or Super Mario Odyssey? Although it’s more of an indie game, TY the Tasmanian Tiger compares to those titles.
