Xbox Series X Retail Boxes Spotted in the Wild | Game Rant

The Xbox Series X is highly anticipated as it is currently the most powerful next-generation console being offered by Xbox. Many have been intrigued by the specifications of the new Xbox as well as the games that will come to it. While some fans have been concerned about the number of exclusives, there is plenty of positive sentiment behind the new console. Fans who are excited about the Xbox Series X got a sneak peek at what they can pick up this holiday season when the box art of the new console was photographed and shared.

While the art and style of a console and its packaging shouldn’t have too much of a bearing on the success of next-generation consoles, fans do take in interest in the presentation. The PlayStation 5 has been critiqued online because of its unique appearance, with the Xbox has seemingly received fewer jokes about its appearance. The Xbox Series X seems to have played it safe with its packaging but it should still be enough to get fans of the consoles interested.

Reddit user thejasonng shared an image of the Xbox Series X boxes in what seemed to be a shipping depot. The boxes themselves follow a similar color scheme to the original Xbox consoles that were released almost twenty years ago. The boxes are covered in dark green with black images of the console itself. Naturally, the game that is used to promote the package is the most successful exclusive title the console has, Halo, and Master Chief can be seen on one side of the box in a typically epic pose.

There is also a note about the Xbox Game Pass which seems to be a key selling point for the next generation and above this text is the tagline for the Xbox Series X, “Power Your Dreams.” The boxes are relatively small and it seems to match the size of the console that has been revealed. Many believe that this is a legitimate photo because of the number of boxes as well as the natural setting and professional look of the packages.

The response to this picture has been largely positive and it seems that plenty of fans are keen to play the Xbox Series X which promises interesting technology like quick resume. Whether the console can deliver on its promising packaging remains to be seen, but it is clear that many fans hope it will.

The Xbox Series X releases November 10.
