Ahead of releasing World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, Blizzard has partnered with Blue Microphones to create a unique new microphone to add a bit of extra immersion to game chats. The Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition USB microphone will spice up how players communicate with each other and add a bit of flair to any content creator’s streams or projects.
This new version of the Yeti X microphone is bringing all the original features of the Yeti X as well as a new exclusive feature that adds a World of Warcraft twist. The new Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone includes a voice modulator that can alter a player’s voice to sound like different residents of Azeroth. Players will be able to choose from a number of different character effects to take their gaming experience to the next level.
In addition to the voice modulator, players with the Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone will have access to a Blizzard HD sample library consisting of hundreds of audio samples from the Warcraft universe as well as World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. This library of Warcraft sounds can be assigned to keybindings which will allow Warcraft creators and streamers to activate them easily. Doug Sharp, Senior Project Manager of Gaming at Blue Microphones, said in the press release, “we’re [Blue Microphones] excited to see how gamers and streamers will use the new voice modulation effect and the Blizzard HD sample library to entertain audiences and create epic streams.”
To further set this new Yeti X microphone apart from the standard version, the Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone features a custom World of Warcraft design. The microphone has a matte Battle Grey finish and features gold accents around the base and near the top of the microphone as well a gold Blue Microphones logo. For added presentation, the microphone features runes on its base and laser-etched runes around the 11-segment LED meter featured on the Yeti X line of microphones. Horde and Alliance faction color presets are included for the LED lights located around the smart knob, which allows players to adjust gain, headphone volume, and more.
The Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone will be available later this month and retail for $199.99. Blue Microphone’s Yeti X line features easy to use, plug-and-play, USB microphones that are perfect for gaming, streaming, and podcasting. The added features for the World of Warcraft edition should be enticing for any fan of Blizzard’s historic franchise.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is Blizzard’s eighth expansion for its massively popular MMO title. The latest expansion is preparing to take players to the Shadowlands, which is the resting place for mortals, also known as the afterlife, in the Warcraft universe. Along with additions to the game world, player’s characters will be affected as well as Blizzard is squishing the level cap from 120 down to 50.
The Yeti X World of Warcraft Edition microphone will be available this month and World of Warcraft Shadowlands releases on October 26 or 27 (depending on time zone) for PC.
