When Call of Duty: Warzone debuted its Season 6 weapons fans noticed immediately how strong the SPR-208 is in combat. The marksman rifle became such a powerful tool that Activision and Infinity Ward recently nerfed it. Still, some Call of Duty: Warzone fans are still wielding this weapon with deadly potential.
The main reason the SPR-208 got nerfed was for its lack of bullet drop, high headshot damage, and fast bullet speed. It was originally a gun that players could just point and shoot to victory. In the hands of a skilled marksman, the SPR-208 meant an instant death to anyone in its scope.
Despite the recent nerf the weapon is still very powerful. Streamer and Reddit user OneRussianLeft showcased their powerful SPR-208 build as they decimate solo players in a series of fast tactical shots. No matter the range, as long as the crosshairs mark the target the enemy is sure to go down. In the comments below his video, he does share the build he is running, and as fans glance it over they begin to realize why it is so strong.
- Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
- Barrel – 26″ Barrel
- Laser – Tac Laser
- Ammunition – .300 Norma Rounds
- Scope – Solozero 28mm Scope
The build for the SPR-208 starts at the muzzle with a Monolithic Suppressor which increases damage and range while still silencing shots. The 26″ Barrel extends the range that the weapon can reach while the Tac Laser helps to reduce sway and increase overall accuracy. The .300 Norma Rounds are high velocity bullets and although they are weaker then the .338 post nerf, they still pack a powerful punch. As for the scope, that is mainly a preference as players should choose a sight they feel comfortable with.
The result of this build is a similar bullet drop to the HDR at ranges of up to 250m. This means powerful damage, hitscan accuracy, and competitive use as the HDR is the top picked sniper in the game. Still, many argue that the Kar is roughly the same level of strength and that both guns rely heavier on skill level rather then gun power itself.
Still, this entire set up has 2% more bullet velocity then the HDR and the ADS is a good mid point between HDR and Kar. This makes the marksman rifle a versatile tool for any skilled player to take advantage of in their next round of Call of Duty: Warzone.
