Call of Duty: Warzone Pro NICKMERCs Reveals New AUG Loadout To Replace MP5

A personalized loadout is essential to anyone who plays Call of Duty: Warzone. Often, Warzone players will try and include guns that exist in the meta. This usually means players are wielding the Kilo 141 or Mp5, but one pro Call of Duty: Warzone streamer believes that the AUG may be this season’s sleeper pick.

There’s tons of news about Season 6’s SPR-208 dominating the sniping field and the M4A1’s no recoil build beaming down enemies. One weapon that is not often talked about is the AUG, as many fans consider other Submachine Gun alternatives to be superior in more situations.

Still, NICKMERCS is going all-in on the AUG with a new video that showcases not only his build but the weapon in action as well. It is important to mention that several pro Call of Duty players have banned the AUG in matches earlier this year. Although it is not an official ban, Nick points out that many of them made a “gentleman’s agreement” to not field the weapon. Still, NICKMERCS believes that the AUG can match the power and functionality of the MP5 and MP7 if not exceed it.

  • Muzzle – Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel – 407mm Extended Barrel
  • Laser – 5mW Laser
  • Underbarrel – Commando Foregrip
  • Rear Grip – Stippled Grip Tape

Starting from the muzzle, the weapon equips the competitive standard Monolithic Suppressor. There are not many situations where this muzzle attachment does not fit as it increases both accuracy and damage of a weapon while providing a stealth advantage. The 407mm Extended Barrel helps this weapon’s range reach mid-range fights while the 5mW Laser supports accuracy overall. The Commando Foregrip adds to the stability of ADS firing while helping with mobility overall. As for the Stippled Grip Tape, players see this often in quick swap builds making this a powerful primary and a choice pick for a secondary weapon.

It is interesting that NICKMERCS is not using an ammunition option as most Call of Duty: Warzone pros tend to take ammo extensions into the field. Instead, he uses Stippled Grip Tape to improve his overall stability and recoil control. The argument is that as long as shots are being hit, there is no need for an extended mag.

The AUG is not a common weapon in Warzone so running this build will most likely catch enemies by surprise. Alternative gear sets often give a slight advantage as opponents do not know what to expect when it comes to damage and accuracy of the weapon itself.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
