Cyberpunk 2077 Releases New Screenshots | Game Rant

There are few upcoming games as desired as Cyberpunk 2077. Now that Cyberpunk 2077 has gone gold, there seems to be very little left to be revealed.

That said, players have already gotten many, many glimpses behind the curtain of what’s in store in Cyberpunk 2077. Players have been teased with this game for a very long time, and more of it has been shown at a steady pace. While gameplay details still remain somewhat scarce, there are some things everyone can agree on. The game will be huge, draws well on its source material, and has a ton of detail poured into it. On top of all that, it looks undeniably gorgeous.

The look of the game is something CD Projekt Red has really been driving home. The cutscenes players have seen seem immersive and crisp, and the graphics are polished and dramatic. On top of that, the style is right on the money as well. It seems that players are always eager to see more of Cyberpunk 2077. This is probably why Cyberpunk 2077‘s Twitter released a trio of screenshots recently, each looking at different aspects of the game. The first is a wide view of North Oak, an important locale in one of Cyberpunk 2077‘s neighborhoods.

The second shows a closeup of combat involving a gun in first person. Someone (presumably an enemy) has a gun trained on the protagonist. Everything is rendered in beautiful detail, from the enhancements on the foe to the shell casings flying through the air. It’s unclear which of Cyberpunk 2077‘s gangs this enemy belongs to, if any, but the police of Night City seem a safer bet. The only thing that looks strange is the gun itself, which has an odd looking barrel unless the bullet is about to fly at the exact moment of the screenshot.

The final screenshot is by far the most intriguing of the three. It is predominantly red, and again seen from first person, with the protagonist facing what looks like an assassin. While the assassin, perhaps corp funded based on the gear, has brought a gun, the player is wielding built-in electrified arm blades. This makes it crystal clear that despite the staggering amount of dialogue in Cyberpunk 2077, sometimes negotiation isn’t an option.

While the mandatory crunch at CD Projekt Red will never be a good thing, it’s clear that making the game impressive did matter to a lot of people. Only time will tell if it’s worth all the hype.

Cberpunk 2077 releases November 17 on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5, Stadia, and Xbox Series X/S versions following.
