Xbox Game Pass Confirms 8 More Games Coming ‘Soon’ | Game Rant

As has come to be expected from Microsoft’s increasingly player-friendly model, Xbox Game Pass continues to be one of the absolute best deals currently available in the world of gaming. From Resident Evil 7 to Doom Eternalthe service has added some utterly incredible releases over the last few weeks, padding out what was already a stacked lineup.

If those weren’t enough for subscribers, Microsoft has just announced a new wave of Xbox Game Pass releases, including some notable indie titles and obscure RPG gems that are definitely worth a look. The new lineup includes Katana Zero, Supra Land, Scourge Bringer, Cricket 19, Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition, Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse, Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition, and Heave Ho.

The biggest of the bunch is likely Katana Zerowith the stylish action extravaganza remaining one of the strongest indie games of the last few years. It’ll hit console and PC on October 15 alongside the tenth entry in the Tales series, Tales of Vesperia. PC players will get a few more games on this date, however, with non-console subscribers getting access to the hilarious four-player co-op platformer Heave Ho, the acclaimed real-time strategy experience that is Age of Empire 3: Definitive Edition, and the roguelike action RPG Swords of Ditto: Mormo’s Curse.

The lineup will be followed by a few more console releases in the days following the new batch of PC games, with October 21 seeing the release of Scourgebringer, which Microsoft claims is like “a crossbreed between Dead Cells and Celeste.” It will be followed by two final releases on October 22, when Cricket 19 comes to Xbox One alongside Supraland. All in all, it looks like a strong batch of games with some notable indie standouts included. Seeing as the console has put a stronger focus on bringing AAA blockbusters to the service in recent months, it’s great to see a dedicated focus on implementing titles from smaller developers as well.

As it stands, Xbox Game Pass has slowly but surely turned into a treasure trove of strong releases over its lifespan, offering huge experiences like The Witcher 3, Doom Eternal, Gears 5, and Halo: The Master Chief Collection for one, affordable, fixed monthly cost. As the next-generation draws closer, it seems likely that Xbox will lean more heavily on the strengths of its subscription-based service, continuing to offer incredible games to its users without asking them to break the bank to access them. Hopefully, it’ll make for one of the best launch lineups the console manufacturer has offered to date, allowing players to access hundreds of enhanced games when they purchase a Series X this holiday.
