Currently, players of the popular open world RPG Genshin Impact have access to a brand new co-op event called the Elemental Crucible. From now until October 19, players that have reached Adventure Rank 20 can team up for this new event as they defeat enemies and fuse elements through the power of alchemy. And not only is this event a good way to spend time playing with friends, but there is are plenty of rewards for those players looking to finish every event task and challenge.
To gain access to the Elemental Crucible event, players will first need to complete a new quest called “One Giant Step For Alchemy?” This quest is easy enough, with Genshin Impact players needing only to talk to Timaeus (the alchemist) in Monstadt. Once players have talked to him there, they will need to make their way over to the Thousand Winds Temple and talk to him once more. After speaking to him the second time, the event will be unlocked.
While the Elemental Crucible may seem daunting when first presented in-game, the premise is quite simple. Enemies will spawn throughout the Thousand Winds Temple that will drop various cubes called Elemental Clots. These Clots will charge the player that collects them with whatever Element it is associated with. Carrying up to three Clots at once, players will need to make their way back over to the Crucible without being hit to deposit them. Once enough Clots have been deposited, the players win the game.
For each successful run of the Elemental Crucible, players will be rewarded with Adventurer Exp, Companion Exp, as well as Character Experience items in exchange for 40 Resin. In addition, players will be constantly working on multiple challenges that are outlined on the Event screen. Rewards from these challenge include Ascension materials for characters, Mora, Weapon Experience materials, and Primogems (See a full list below for rewards).
Most of the challenges are easily accomplished by simply playing the Elemental Crucible multiple times, with a total of 300 Primogems acquired after completing the event 20 times. Another easy challenge that players will complete over time is defeating a certain amount of enemies. However, one of the most valuable rewards that players can earn in the event is Battle Pass experience.
By completing the challenge ‘Elemental Energy Overflowing,’ players will earn 2250 BP Exp, which is over two levels on the Battle Pass. However, to accomplish this feat players will need to finish the Crucible in less than three minutes. Players looking to accomplish this will want to focus on communication between them and their teammates by setting up devastating Elemental Reactions. It’s also extremely beneficial to have players that are inoculated prioritize Clot collection as they will make the bar rise faster than those that are not.
