Microsoft Confirms Final Xbox Series X Launch Lineup of 30 Games

In less than a month’s time, Microsoft will launch its next-generation console, the Xbox Series X. And while Halo Infinite has been delayed, throwing a big wrench in Microsoft’s launch plans for the console, there will still be plenty for early adopters to play on day one. Microsoft has now officially confirmed the final list of Xbox Series X launch lineup games, confirming 30 titles that will be available come November 10.

The headlining games of the Xbox Series X launch lineup are Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Yakuza: Like A Dragon, as those games will be making their next-gen debuts on Xbox. Other notable includes like Bright Memory 1.0, which is an Xbox Series X console exclusive, as well as The Falconeer, which is also console-exclusive to Microsoft’s new console. Gears Tactics, which debuted earlier this year on PC, will also be one of the big games available for Xbox Series X at launch.

Something to note about the Xbox Series X launch lineup is that many of the games support the Smart Delivery program. For the uninitiated, the Xbox Smart Delivery program allows players to purchase one version of a game and play it across the Xbox gaming ecosystem. So, for example, someone could buy the Xbox One version of Watch Dogs Legion when it releases later this month, and they will then be able to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version of the game free on November 10.

This includes asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight, as well as Microsoft-published titles like Forza Horizon 4Gears 5Gears Tactics, and the popular early access game Grounded. Xbox Game Pass will also allow users to access over 100 older Xbox games as well, giving Xbox Series X owners instant access to a significant number of titles right off the bat.

Beyond launch, there are still some major titles for Xbox Series X owners to look forward to before the year is out. Just a few days after launch, on November 13, the highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will launch, and then on December 10, the Xbox Series X console-exclusive horror game The Medium from Bloober Team will be available as well.
