Fans of Pac-Man around the world will be happy to know that Pac-Man Geo, now available for free through the App Store and Google Play, brings all the ghost chasing action to a street near them. Utilizing Google Maps, Pac-Man Geo generates playable mazes based on real street patterns that can be saved and shared with others.
Fortunately, player won’t have to travel anywhere to generate map data, a key difference from contemporary mobile gaming phenomenon Pokemon GO. Utilizing Pac-Man Geo‘s Maze Sharing system, it’s possible to play levels generated by some of the world’s most iconic landmarks and locales as near as one’s neighborhood and as far as France.
Pac-Man Geo also puts a fun twist on virtually sight-seeing. Equipped with a Map Mode, players can make their own mazes utilizing generated pieces with designs influenced by the surrounding streets and landmarks they are pulled from. High-scores are maintained across each level and are shared with other players all around the world.
A key competitive feature of Pac-Man Geo is the game’s Tour Mode featuring special stages inspired by famous landmarks that are only available for a limited time.
