A few weeks have passed since the launch of Magic: The Gathering’s latest set, Zendikar Rising, and now players have begun to crack the new Limited and Constructed formats. A few waves of bans have already shaken up the Standard scene, but Limited grinders are still busy climbing the ranks and trying to hit the Mythic top 100 tier. A new week of events will bring even more chances to draft, including the chance for a break from Zendikar Rising for those who want to change things up.
Magic Arena has a variety of Limited events available this week and, although the focus is still on Zendikar Rising, another Standard legal set is making a comeback. Since this is the first full month of Zendikar Rising (and the new Standard rotation) it makes sense for that set to take up most of the spots, but Throne of Eldraine is returning later this week to spice things up.
It’s possible that some other surprise events may pop up throughout the month as Halloween approaches, but this week seems to be locked in. Players will have their choice between two different types of Zendikar Rising draft options, a Throne of Eldraine draft, and the usual Friday Night Magic offering to spice things up a bit.

That should be everything players need to know to jump into Arena this week and start playing some Zendikar Rising or revisit Throne of Eldraine. As always, players can also queue up for casual or ranked Constructed play at any time. Those matches are free and are the primary way many players try to climb the ranked Constructed ladder all the way up to the Mythic Tier. Reaching that level of play requires a ton of practice, play, and grinding; but is a great way to try and qualify for special tournament invites and prizes in the competitive card game.
Be sure to check back throughout the rest of October and early November to see what other special events and formats pop up in the game.
